  I will start out by saying, I will NEVER go back to this restaurant!!! I don't like places that are not consistent. I tried them over the weekend. The hostess was super nice. My waitress was friendly and helpful. The order was perfect; hot, minimal waiting, AND there were more people than today. However, today the hostess was missing. My server, although having no other customers, seemed to be very occupied. I got up several times, to get napkins, etc., etc.,... My first order was wrong. I will also mention, it took forever to come out. Yet, they had NO customers!!!! So, I tried the pork chops. The pork chops tasted like they were refried (heated up in the grease), after having previously been cooked. My rolls tasted like the had been heated too long in the microwave (rubbery). It was a fiasco. Short story, the waitress was going to discount the meal. But after talking to the manager, was informed that NOTHING would be done. I was going to finish my meal and never go back. BUT, here is the really neat part: The manager on duty proceeded to come over to my table, not to make things right. But, to argue with me about why I wanted to return the dried up pork chops!!! WOW!!! After, I told him I was done with the conversation, he CONTINUED to argue about why the food was sent back; STILL not offering any discount (which I had already accepted). I ended up walking out, having eaten absolutely NOTHING. NEVER AGAIN!!!

  First time trying this place and I was impressed. Definitely will be back for more. My take out lunch order was so quick, professional and smooth.

  I was out dining with my family and I heard some obnoxious language I heard a server named David call another server the R slur and I didn’t like that language being heard around my children please take this into consideration.

  Yikes! Trust the reviews. Not a fan AT ALL. There was a guy at the bar that said he liked everything on the menu including the chicken fried steak. Needlesstosay...he was elderly!!! If you have a Cajun place with no cars in the parking lot that is always a sign. Now what they did do well was the Yo Mama drink. That was good. Everything else 👎 Service...mediocre once you get past the front girls who guard their menus like their lives depend on it. Went for a take out order so when I saw the bar said okay can I order from the bar while waiting for order? Hostess: yes. Wait excuse maam can you give me the menu back they have them back there. Strange but okay maybe they have paper menus back there. Nope! Same menu.... So I sit down and no bartender for a good 10 minutes. No menu no nothing. So I speak to the 1 patron sitting there for pre info. Oh everything is good!! Okay let's do it. I tried the chicken n dumplings. The gumbo and the cobbler. All were 🤢. No flavor and small portions for what they charge. We got the Itty bitty tiny shrimp from Walmart and no flavor gumbo. Asked for extra rice....all liquid and NOT gumbo. The yams are a puree. Not sure what they are making as I didnt see sweet potato pie on the menu but it tastes like leftover sweet potato pie filling from someone that doesnt know how to make it. The green beans were nowhere near seasoned. Those get reviews being so great but I get the same green beans from Green Giant canned beans at the grocery store. Not good! Couldn't even finish them without seasoning. The chicken n dumplings were a joke. They put it in a Styrofoam container and they threw so many pieces of dark meat its apparent they are using unsold chicken to make their dumplings and there were only a handful had to hunt for a dumpling to go with all the chicken. The soup part was great consistency but the flavor was whack!!! How do you not do well with chicken and dumplings. You can even use your biscuit dough to do it. The rolls werent good. Rubbery which threw me off. The cobbler tasts like they use biscuit dough and plopped fruit in the middle. Go to Lo Lo's if you want decent Cajun food. This aint it. But the bar is okay. Pappadeux's but without the price on drinks. Go for the frozen drinks. That's it. Thats my review. Dont say I didnt warn you. Yikes!! Po Melvin...

  Last time I went to post Melvin's I realized that the food was frozen. They're reheating the food it's not freshly made it's reheated food because half of my food was still frozen and I would never go back there again because if I wanted frozen food I would eat at home. That's just it. That's just all they said it's freshly made. It is not freshly made when your order is freshly taken out the freezer and freshly reheated up. That's just what it is. And I'm not spending that amount of money on reheated up food especially fish and stuff like that. No no no it's a no. I had the mashed potatoes chicken fried chicken with some green beans and sweet tea that chicken fried chicken was half Frozen and I even told the person who waited on me right before I left I did not finish it because it was still cold in the middle so it couldn't have been fresh it had to be microwave because it was still cold in the middle.
