  Has the Mexican pastries that I like ..fresh bread... Great vegetables and fruit. And a very entertaining soundtrack playing in the background!

  You must double-check the prices at the checkout; they manipulate the pricing repeatedly. I shopped there today and bought five pounds of tomatoes priced at 87 cents. However, when I reached the cashier—who happened to be the manager—she rang them up at $1.77. I informed her that the correct price was 87 cents. She replied, "Okay, I will verify the price for you." Five minutes later, she told me I was mistaken and that the price was indeed $1.77, so I paid the amount. As I was leaving, I stopped, went back to the display, and took a photo of the price tag—it clearly showed 87 cents. I returned to her, showed her the photo, and she said, "It's okay, I'll refund your money." She seemed annoyed, though I couldn't understand why she was the one getting annoyed; surely *I* should have been the one annoyed by her and her colleague's lack of integrity. They both lied, and apparently, the word "sorry" is too expensive for them to use. The manager needs to be more responsible and professional—she certainly shouldn't be a liar.

  The prices are the absolute best in town. The store is very clean and organized. Management takes such great pride in their store, you can always find someone to help. They even approach you if you look like you need help looking for something. I've visited twice so far and each time it has been a good experience.

  Very hard to beat the prices at Joe V's. It's fair across the board. Was able to get a large pork shoulder for $7 and two large ribeye steaks for $20. Those same steaks would cost double if not more at all the competiting stores. So all in all, it makes grocery shopping so much more affordable even with the prices of everything going up. Just wished the parking lot was larger though. Be prepared for crowds too and it is very chaotic moving around inside the store but just be patient and you can save a ton of money!

  Well, overall the visit was OK. The fours in the produce department were comparably dirty or not as clean as one would expect. I got home and opened up the H-E-B bake shop thin rounds whole wheat and the only way to open the bag was to rip the seal where I could no longer use the seal to work so now I have to put it in a separate Ziploc bag. Overall again, I would say we went there to primarily purchase produce because it is usually fresh and it was that today.
