The AI at the drive thru absolutely sucks and slows the whole thing down. The line was consistently backed up at the speaker and took super long just to get to the speaker. The AI did not understand what we were saying and was non responsive. If it actually had any feelings, I would even say it was rude. It took forever to place our order, as the AI kept interrupting. It then completely messed up our order and we had to place it again. Once we got to the window, things were much smoother. Specifically for the AI, I’m absolutely never coming here again.

We went for lunch and in my husband’s burger was a red long hair . He took it back and the person just took from him and said nothing. Won’t be going there anymore. Very disappointed,

Dairy Queen has long been a Texas staple, known for its quality service and southern hospitality. With that, whomever decided that implementing an AI ordering system for the drive through is as good a decision maker as the CEO that decided to try to rebrand Cracker Barrel. The AI is slow, wrong, and impersonal. It processed our order wrong and they have the order screen at the speaker turned off so you can't confirm, and there is no one to hold accountable when that happens. I will not be returning to any dairy queen that makes me talk to an AI to order food. Absolutely horrendous decision.

This place is so slow! We went there on a Sunday night around 9. There is an attendant outside taking order by the entry doors as that's where the drive through line is backed up to. 30 minutes later we finally get to the window. Oh surely how long could it take. It's only 2 small blizzards and a peanut buster parfait, and they took our order 30 minutes ago. It took 5 minutes of waiting after we got to the window. They had lots of employees in the store. Most of them just milling about not really doing anything. Some were just staring up at order screens waiting on others to work. A few back of house people were pulling friers away from the wall and starting to clean. Yet it seemed like with a drive through line around the building and 6 to 8 people waiting at the counter inside that only 1person was actually prepping ice cream orders. Then the smart ass running the drive through window when he handed the first blizzard through window without the customary turn it upside down. When I commented on it he goes "Oh sorry." On the second blizzard he doesn't just turn it upside down, he does his best to shake the ice cream out of the cup and on to the ground. This is now my second visit to this location that has just left me with a sour taste in my mouth about quality of service. Which is very disappointing as I had such high expectations after being very familiar with the Mayfield store in Cedar Park. Whomever is running the Hutto location.. needs fired.

I was amazed at how fast the drive thru line went, especially for a Dairy Queen. The AI ordering kiosk was very loud and easy to understand. She got my order right as confirmed by the attendant at the drive thru window. The shirts everyone was wearing looked like a lot of fun. Got home, food smelled good. My order was incorrect, with the incorrect vegis in both my burgers. The mayonnaise was all centered and not spread around at all. The fries were limp. In the 10 minute drive home, my food was not very warm. Over-all it was okay, but not as good as other DQs I've been to.
