Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Was on my lunch break drove 15 min to go get Cobb salad waited 15 mins on the queue. Got the salad drove back to work guess what. No fork No sauce I had to use a fork my co worker already used. Used a borrowed fork but still no Sauce so how am gonna eat the food and I can’t drive back . I regret wasting my time. Don’t recommend

This location is a real disappointment, because with proper management, it could be tremendous. By far the most consistent in terms of food quality of most of the surrounding Whataburger‘s, but the service is really hit or miss. You will either get a staff member who is incredibly courteous and welcoming, or you’ll have somebody who I can only assume has never handled money, spoken to another human being, or learned basic courtesy service in their life.
It’s a fast food restaurant, you don’t expect much. But consistency would be nice. Furthermore, this location will nickel and dime you whenever they get the opportunity, despite the inconvenience it might cause for their staff, or for you as the customer (notice how the customer is mentioned after the staff intentionally). Recently, my order was taken incorrectly in the drive-through. They forgot cheese, no big deal right? Quick fix.
Nope. As a result, I let the staff know that there was an issue with the burger right when they handed it to me, explaining that I did in fact, order it with cheese. But by the end of it I had to park, walk inside, and wait 10 minutes for the order to be “remade” just to add cheese, and clearly their primary concern was making sure to swipe my card for that additional $.50.
Obviously, no one is opposed to paying for something they ordered. My problem was that I’d already gone through the line and done all of this once, and it was due to their mistake that this inconvenience occurred to begin with. And seriously guys, it’s a slice of cheese. Get real.
Basically, if you plan to go to this location, expect either the best experience you’ve had, or the worst. There is no in-between. The food is likely good, but you better damn well make sure the person taking your order at the drive-through actually rang it up correctly.
Lastly, skip going in the lobby if you can help it, it is consistently hot and uncomfortable unless it’s winter.

My Whataburger app CLEARLY showed money on the app. Their system could not process. Then would not serve me the food they made. Managers name was Joshua. Does NOT understand a company problem vs a customer problem

This was the best whataburger in town but it's not anymore. I was told they wouldn't take my breakfast order at 10:57pm. The manager Bryan doesn't know how to treat customers that stood in line for 10 min.

My husband and I were there today..July 15th around 1130 or a little later. When to place our order and the lady who wrung us up had sour face and an attitude. We didn't get the brunt of the attitude though.A man came in to pick up his pre-ordered food.He looked at the shelf out in the lobby to see if his order was there but it wasn't yet.He was the only person by the counter. He stepped back out of the way because a family of 3 came in.He didn't say a word or anything but the cashier a short Hispanic lady with a MANAGERS shirt on jumped down that poor man's throat asking basically why he was standing there.Well,he said he came to pick up his order that one of the other employees in the back was getting ready. Now the man was upset because the manager lady kept picking at him trying obviously to make him mad.She kept yelling and grunting and walking off and he said to her "we're not going to do this, were not going there..meaning arguing in public. She totally ignored the family of 3 who were standing at the counter wanting to order. Finally the man got his order from the other employee and said that the lady arguing with him used to work at Petsmart and treated him badly at that job too.I don't know the rude employees name but somebody needs to fire her.I sat at the table and saw the whole thing. Then when the man was exiting..the rude lady sarcastically yelled at him "HAVE A NICE DAY."
I've lived here my whole life and that's not Texas hospitality and most definitely not WHATABURGERS way of treating people.I hope I don't ever see her face there again.Yuck.I should have filmed the whole fiasco with my phone. You'd be disgusted.
