The service wasn't friendly at all. I was craving ribs and decided to try Pappas. I don't think I will be craving ribs for a long time because they were so fatty that I got grossed out. I know ribs can be fatty but if they are cooked right, most of the fat will be cooked off. Definitely not these though. The mac and cheese was good though.

I visited Pappa’s bbq yesterday and had the worst experience I’ve ever had there. My plate looked like a kid’s meal. The ribs very tiny, barely any soggy rice but they were very generous with their beans. Ordered a chopped beef sandwich..received slice beef. Ordered a baked potato with chopped beef and the meat was very less than usual. The food was great when I went there in June after they had re-opened, lines long and all. I was telling friends how delicious everything was and how good the dirty rice was as well as the brisket and ribs. Barely any brisket yesterday and the 2 tiny ribs on my plate was extremely salty so I had to trash them. I had to take dietetics yesterday and this morning and my blood sugar is still high after tasting the ribs on yesterday. The rice was not fresh at all, it looked and taste as though the re-warmed it with water and added fresh onions. The lines were not long at all. I guess the experience I had in June was just to get a lot of business and now it’s worst than ever. The new Pappa’s is very beautiful and elegant now, maybe that’s why their food has gotten horrible. If I could have given the food a zero I would have.

I have been a loyal customer of Pappas BBQ for years and have always enjoyed your food. However, since the restaurant opened, every takeout order my family has placed has consistently been incorrect or missing items. We routinely do not receive the bread or BBQ sauce that should accompany our meals. Additionally, although I specifically order lean brisket, the last several takeout orders have contained marbled brisket instead.
As a paying customer, I expect to receive the items I ordered. Unfortunately, there appears to be a lack of attention to detail when preparing and packaging takeout orders.
While I have long preferred Pappas BBQ, these repeated issues have led me to consider returning to Tin Roof BBQ as our regular choice.

Second time going with in a week since they reopened. The first time my husband had a chopped beef sandwich. The sandwich had a lot of hard charred pieces and I had the hamburger only because of the big hype that the burgers were the best...NOT in my opinion.
Second visit was today. I asked for a salad with meat, as chicken being the meat. I was told that I couldn't get the chicken on my salad, so I changed my order to a slice beef sandwich. My husband ordered the same. Very difficult to eat the sandwich, because the brisket was sliced wrong. They sliced it with the grain instead of against the grain. Very disappointed with this location. Will not be back. Before the remodel, we never had an issue with the food. We will be visiting another pappas location even if we have to drive a distance.

I had the bake potato with beef sausage sweet potato’s green beans chicken and baby back ribs. Potato was huge and had a lot of meat! Could be a meal by itself. Really good, beef sausage was flavorful but a little on the spicy side. Chicken was average and sweet potato’s not very good. Beans and ribs were very good and highly recommend. I would recommend if you like BBQ to try this place. Not bad for price
