I had a Southwestern Angus Cheeseburger and a 4 pc order of smothered corn with 2 sauces, Lemon Pepper and Nashville Hot. The food was incredible! Very clean, great atmosphere. The owner is very nice. I highly recommend Country Smokin Burgers.

Country Smokin’ Burgers goes hard. The Philly cheesesteak fries were loaded and crazy good. My daughter smashed the crazy fries cheesy, saucy, and worth every bite. Big portions, big flavor. Definitely recommend.

I chose to visit this restaurant because I enjoy supporting small businesses, but unfortunately my experience today was extremely disappointing. I called in my order at 2:55 p.m. and was told it would be ready in about 20 minutes. I ran a few errands and arrived around 3:23 p.m. When I walked up to the counter, the elderly gentleman working abruptly said, “Give me a second, I’m busy,” before I had even spoken. To his credit, he apologized a few moments later and explained that his coworker had gone to the hospital. I understood the situation, told him not to worry about it, and waited patiently. While waiting another 20 minutes outside in the heat, I observed several food handling practices that concerned me. I saw him working the cash register, preparing burgers, and handling fries while wearing the same pair of gloves throughout. I also witnessed him wipe his nose with his gloved hand/wrist and then continue preparing food without changing his gloves. In addition, I saw him rest his forearm on the same surface where the burger buns were being prepared. By approximately 3:45 p.m., after waiting about 45 minutes for a burger and seeing what I considered to be poor hygiene practices, I decided I no longer wanted the food. I quietly gathered my belongings and walked to my vehicle with no intention of causing a scene. I simply planned to leave and not return. As I was getting into my vehicle, the owner ran outside yelling that my order was ready. I explained that I would not be patronizing the business because of the hygiene concerns I had personally observed. Instead of acknowledging my concerns, he became defensive and denied wiping his nose with the same gloves I had seen him use. He also muttered a snarky comment under his breath as I drove away. As someone who works in healthcare, proper hygiene and cross contamination prevention are extremely important to me. I understand that unexpected situations happen and that being short staffed can be stressful. However, those circumstances do not excuse unsafe food handling practices. I had no intention of leaving a review until the way my concerns were handled. Because of both the food safety issues I observed and the owner’s response, I cannot recommend this restaurant. If you choose to eat here, I encourage you to pay close attention to the food handling practices you observe for yourself. Edit: your response is exactly what I observed.. dismissive and no accountability.

I went to try there burgers on 7/22/26 at 4:25Pm due to the reviews on the food. Before ordering I asked how long was the wait. The gentlemen told me 15 minutes I said that's ok because I had to be to work at 5PM. He said it will be ready in 10 minutes I ordered two burgers and one order of fries. When I arrived I seen one car sitting at the pumps but I didn't think they were waiting on food because nothing was cooking. At 4:48pm I went to the counter and there was a lady who said she been waiting over 30 minutes for her food. I asked was my food ready he started hollering I told you 15 to 20 minutes. I said no you didn't but I can't wait any longer I have to go to work and I would like a refund. He started saying I'm ruining his business by lying and I'm telling him you told me 10 minutes just please give me a refund. The lady standing there said I don't want my food because I don't like the way your talking to her. Then he tells me he has to call someone to send my refund and I told him I'm not leaving until I get something in writing. He is steady yelling and I'm telling to please just give me a refund so I can go. I say this to say you are very rude and disrespectful and I will NEVER patronize your business. Learn how to be respectful and how to talk to people and you may have more business. Last but not least if you eat from there stand there and watch how he makes your food. When I seen the two balls of ground beef just sitting there while making other food was appalling that meat should have been kept in the refrigerator until he was ready to use. Watch who and where you eat from. Please don't let my bad experience be yours try them for yourself but definitely watch while your food is being made.
