Excellent! We were a huge fan of the original YiaYia Mary's before they closed. We were ecstatic that the restaurant was back. Yiayia's has some of our favorites from the original with wonderful new and flavorful additions. The location is beautiful, and the service is top-notch. Everything waa spot-on. We will definitely be returning soon!

My wife and I went to Yiayia’s on a Friday night. We ordered the eggplant dip the taramosalata the snapper crudo all of which were wonderful. The lemon aoli in the snapper crudo really made the dish. We then had the grilled octopus which was done well. For entrees we had the chicken souvlaki and the pasta Lena. The chicken was wonderful but the pasta was gritty and sandy like the clams were not cleaned properly. My other problem was the service was lacking. In general the server was not very attentive they also after the appetizer brought out to go boxes and just left them on the table. He did not offer to box up the items. It is very obvious they are trying to be a higher end restaurant but the wait staff need training. This is common problem I have been seeing lately with Pappas restaurants which is very disappointing as I have been eating at there restaurants for over 30 years.

We had a party of six to celebrate a dear friend's birthday. We were very impressed with the level or intention and details of service, food and learning the origins of the restaurant. Our waiter Steven and the others who assisted him provided excellent service, took pictures and package our food and cake. I was filled from the appetizers, the bread was so good with the cheese. I'm allergic but the table left none of the calamari behind. Everyone else love the seabass and seafood pasta dish. Definitely will return for lamb plate. This was the highlight dinner for my friends birthday glad we came on the day of.

Had a great experience here Saturday night. The food was fantastic and our server, Gustavo, was so great. He offered great recommendations for drinks, appetizers, and entrees and took care of us throughout the entire experience. His excellent service really stood out for us. The food was amazing. For drinks, we had the Nisi Spritz, for starters, we got the hummus, the saganaki, and for entrees we got the Pasta Lena and the sea bass. Everything was fantastic and we really enjoyed the energy and atmosphere of the restaurant. I’d definitely recommend this place and hope you get sat in Gustavo’s section for a great experience.

***SCAM ALERT*** Yiayia's employs or leases their parking lot to a completely unscrupulous and corrupt valet company that, like many, intentionally parks valet customers vehicles in the self parking areas first. This is a well known tactic employed by many valet companies to fill up the self parking areas first. Leaving only the valet section available for remaining restaurant customers arriving later in the evening. I caught these guys red-handed this evening, December 20, 2025 at around 5:15 pm. And, they knew it. Yiayia's had just opened at 5:00 pm and practically the entire parking lot in front of restaurant was coned off for valet parking only, and it was almost completely empty. But, self-parking areas of the parking lot were almost full. I was immediately suspicious and watched as a valet customer pulled their vehicle in front of restaurant. I had just received my meal when I witnessed a valet attendant employed by the valet company Yiayia's used parking a valet customer's vehicle in the self parking area of the parking lot. I reported this to the manager of the restaurant, Julio. I made Julio aware of what was going on with the valet attendants and what they were doing. Julio was clearly not going to confront their valet company employees about this issue. He knew what was going on and immediately offered to pay for my mostly uneaten meal. I refused Julio's offer and told him that I wasn't staying, that I was leaving as a result of what I reported to him about these valet attendants. I then left a $100.00 dollar bill on the bar for Elias the bar tender, which is where I was attempting to eat my meal and drink a glass of wine. I had taken maybe two bites of my meal and one sip of my wine before witnessing this behavior. I could not continue as I will never tolerate this sort of behavior anywhere from any restaurant. I can tell you from experience and from living here in Houston, Texas most of my life that I can spot these valet parking scams a mile away. Unfortunately, most restaurants go along with this unscrupulous behavior as it's free or cheap security for them and many are receiving a kick-back in the form of a parking lot lease to these valet companies. This sort nonsense needs to be called out for what it is and it needs to stop now! I immediately left the restaurant. As if the insulting behavior wasn't enough, these scam artist valet attendants made derogatory comments to me as I was attempting to go back to my car. They actually had the nerve to say they owned the restaurant and parking lot. I told them that I had reported them to the restaurant manager. They continued making derogatory remarks in an obvious attempt to escalate the situation and in a confrontational and threatening manner. This was the first time I've eaten at this location as I've eaten at the original Yia Yia Maria's restaurant at their previous Galleria location many times. This will be the last time that I will visit this restaurant.
