Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
This morning, May 7, 2026, I stopped by Whataburger for the free breakfast chicken sandwich for Teacher Appreciation Day. Unfortunately, the cashier was very rude and disrespectful. She almost screamed at me in front of other customers, which made the experience very uncomfortable. Customer service training is definitely needed. I usually eat here, but after today, I will not be coming back and will not recommend this location to others.

The vegetables on the hamburger were so skimpy I needed a detective to find them. If you can't afford to put vegetables on the burger then close down!

This is one of the worst Whaterburgar I have been to.Everytime I come its something new.I pay to much for half service. One time I ordered chicken strips Large fry and white gravy, got all the way home just to have small fries and no gravy no sauce just dry strips.i was to tired to go back.Today I ordered a patty melt and large fries.Fries were cold.I am now home , bite into my patty melt, DRY.Since when is a patty melt made no sauce or onions. The very reason I ordered it and spent $20 on this meal.I am over it.Gas is to high to drive back. And when I did tell them the last time , they looked at me like Oh well.

I have been a What-a-burger super fan years. I am a Texan, above all other identifying groups; but the quality of my Services Dropped at other locations.
Currently, this is the Only Location that I will go, to Get The Value from paying a Prices Point that is above the competition’s.
I am old school.
Don’t just throw my burger together and don’t let me think that your kitchen is not clean and Hands Were Not Washed.
You other locations know who you are. Bring the Standard Back Up, and the customers Will Follow.
Respectfully,
Jacqueliyn
