Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Entire meal overcooked. Or old and reheated. I really hate how much Whataburger has gone down.

Whataburger is more than just a fast-food restaurant—it's a place that feels like home. For many people, especially those who grew up in the South, a visit to Whataburger isn't simply about satisfying hunger. It's about tradition, comfort, and memories that span generations. From the moment those familiar orange-and-white stripes come into view, there's a sense of excitement and nostalgia that is difficult to describe. Whether it's a late-night stop after a football game, an early breakfast before a long road trip, or a meal shared with family after a busy day, Whataburger has a way of becoming part of life's most meaningful moments. One of the first things that stands out is the quality of the food. The burgers are made fresh, served hot, and prepared with a level of care that sets them apart from many other fast-food chains. The first bite of a Whataburger feels satisfying in a way that's hard to explain—it tastes like something made for enjoyment rather than simply convenience. The fresh vegetables, toasted buns, and perfectly seasoned beef come together to create a meal that consistently delivers comfort and flavor. But Whataburger's appeal goes far beyond the food itself. It's the atmosphere and experience that make it special. Unlike many fast-food restaurants that feel rushed and impersonal, Whataburger often feels welcoming and familiar. It becomes a gathering place where friends catch up, families share stories, and travelers take a break from the road. The dining rooms have witnessed countless conversations, celebrations, and moments that people remember long after the meal is over. Perhaps what makes Whataburger truly unique is the emotional connection people have with it. For many of us, it's tied to some of our happiest memories. It's the burger your parents bought after a successful baseball game. It's the stop you made with friends after graduation. It's the meal you grabbed during a late-night conversation that lasted until sunrise. Somehow, Whataburger becomes woven into the stories of everyday life. The menu itself offers something for everyone, and there is comfort in knowing that your favorite order will likely taste just as good as you remember. That consistency creates a sense of reliability in a world where so many things change. No matter how much time passes, there is something reassuring about returning to Whataburger and finding the same flavors that brought you happiness years ago. Of course, no restaurant is perfect. There are occasions when wait times can be longer than expected, particularly during busy hours. Yet even those moments often feel worth it because the food is prepared fresh rather than rushed. The anticipation becomes part of the experience, and the meal that follows rarely disappoints. What I admire most about Whataburger is how it has maintained its identity despite growing into a beloved regional icon. It still feels personal. It still feels connected to the communities it serves. It still feels like a place where people come together over great food and meaningful conversations. At its heart, Whataburger represents much more than burgers and fries. It represents family traditions, road-trip memories, late-night adventures, and moments of comfort during both good times and difficult ones. It is a place where ordinary meals become cherished memories and where generations of customers continue to find a sense of familiarity and belonging. Overall, Whataburger earns my highest appreciation not only because of its delicious food but because of the role it plays in people's lives. Few restaurants manage to create such a strong emotional connection with their customers. Every visit feels like returning to a familiar friend, and that feeling is something truly special. Whataburger isn't just a restaurant—it's a tradition, a comfort, and a reminder that some of life's best memories are made around a simple meal shared with the people who matter most.

We ordered a couple of burgers to go. The burgers were so salty we had to throw away the meat. I called and told them. They wanted to remake, but we were already too far away. They did not give me a refund. Will not buy here again.

I always have a great experience at Whataburger, and a big reason for that is Bobby G at the front counter. He is absolutely amazing and always keeps the place running smoothly. No matter how busy it gets, he’s on top of the orders both inside the restaurant, making sure everything stays organized and customers are taken care of. Bobby G has a great attitude, works hard, and truly goes above and beyond. He is definitely Whataburger’s golden ticket and a huge asset to the team. We love Bobby G and appreciate everything he does to make every visit a positive experience. Keep up the great work! 🍔⭐👏

Bobby G has exceptional customer service! He is the life of the building with his kindness, honesty and absolutely angelic, timely and much needed sense of humor. I pass up the whataburger 5 minutes from my house to come here just for him. Whataburger is lucky to have him!
