Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

On July 18, 2026, at approximately 2:00 AM, I visited this branch and received a chicken sandwich that was completely unacceptable. The quality of the food was appalling; the chicken was burnt, and the tomatoes served were green and unripe. When I politely brought this to the attention of the staff, I was met with mockery and condescension from the employee who took my order at the drive-through. Furthermore, the interaction with the supervisor on duty was disheartening. I was subjected to unprofessional questioning regarding my request for a refund. Despite my attempts to express respect for their difficult job, the overall treatment I received—including laughter from other staff members—made me feel unwelcome and discriminated against. I have attached a photo of the sandwich I was served as proof. As a customer who expects a standard level of service and quality from Whataburger, this experience was deeply upsetting. I am sharing this so that appropriate actions can be taken to ensure other customers do not encounter similar issues. I look forward to your response regarding how you intend to address this.
