Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

She said it wasn't ready and I said I will wait at a table. More than 30 minutes passed and still no food. Other customers came in, ordered and were served. The employees in the front of the house completely ignored me. They'd look at me and quickly turn their heads. The managers were working the wheel and calling out order names and numbers. Never calling my name. An employee from the back of the house looked at me from the kitchen, walked out to the dining room and asked if I was forgotten about. Yes, I was. He offered me an apple pie. Nice but not for me. I finally received my order but it was the same sandwich that had been sitting on the counter for over 30 minutes. Soggy and nasty! I asked the manager about the wait time and she replied "Want me to make you another one?" I want you to have corrected the problem before serving nasty food to your customers. I want you to have standards for yourself and your employees. I want, at minimum, an apology for the inconvenience. But no...
