Normally my favorite place to eat, categorically.
This time, their system was glitching, and instead of charging me $9.30, they charged it FORTY times and took 400 dollars from my account.
Go ask for a manager, get a perplexed look and told "they dont really have a manager right now"
I tell her that ive had 400 dollars taken from my account, i need someone capable of fixing this. Cue a young 20 something year old girl, asking to see where the charges were on the app, taking pictures of what I showed her and sending it to, I guess, the actual manager.
Apparently none of the orders went through, cause no one made my order and no one offered me my food while I waited, though it was paid for. This isnt entitlement, this theory of how it should be handled comes from working food service, we always fed angry customers while we resolved issues.
Girlie pop disappeared on the phone, and everyone dissolved into their working. I approach the counter and ask the original girl if I can have one of the 40 meals while I wait, im on lunch.
She looks at the screen, says there's no orders, would I like to order/pay again. I definitely do not.
So I grab a seat, and girlie pop comes back out, avoiding eye contact and saying since its over 200, I am gonna have to call a number she's gonna give me.
I dont understand this world. The customer isn't always right. But if you've over charged 39 times, they are, and it is your job to fix it.
On my worst days, I wouldn't have treated a patron the way they did.
And as soon as I got mad, she disappeared into the back for the last time while I was there, but didnt possess the good sense to complain about me to where I couldnt hear it.
Its honestly a wonder that place hasn't burnt down or made people very, very sick, with the overall competence level contained therein.
