  First of all racism in 2026 is crazy. I sat down at the bar and if u know this is a predominantly white neighborhood so all white men and me the one Mexican at the bar sat for about 20 to 30 minutes and watched as the server tended to everyone at the bar except me no drink no appetizer nothing so I walked out. Moral of story don’t try to eat here if ur not white

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Food, but a Tight Space! Saltgrass in downtown Houston has a great location, right across from the park and near the convention center. However, be prepared for lots of traffic and congestion in the area! The restaurant itself was surprisingly small, especially considering its prime location. It felt very crowded, with barely enough room to move around comfortably. Everyone seemed to be bumping into each other, and seating was definitely tight. Now, let’s talk about the food because that’s where Saltgrass really shines! Everything we ordered was excellent, and the service was great! The appetizers were absolutely delicious, but be warned—the portions are generous! You might find yourself getting full before your main course even arrives. The grilled shrimp was especially excellent and definitely worth ordering! Overall, the food and friendly service made it a great dining experience. I just wish the restaurant had a little more breathing room, especially for such a busy downtown location. Come hungry, but be prepared for a crowd!

  This was one of the best experiences food 10/10 the service from sharod 100/100 by far one of the best servers EVER!!!!!!! Very personable very down to earth and most importantly consistent i will be baxk

  Manager straight up said they didn’t have enough staff to accommodate the flow even when they were aware there was a conference was in town…. Not worth you time. Can’t even sit outside to enjoy the weather Go elsewhere!

  Hi! I had dinner there tonight and it was spectacular. Such nice cozy vibes, and very attentive staff. My water was never half full. Ali was my server tonight and she was so kind, caring and seemed very educated about the menu. 100/10!! Will be back 🥳
