  Nathan, Mariah, Priscilla and Sean were phenomenal bartenders and the manager sean is great with customers, very relatable and conscious of the operations of a restaurant. I think Nathan is a future Bar manager and Sean is a future District Manager. Love this place and love the people. 1st time here. 5 stars all around

  Saltgrass delivers exactly what you would expect from an almost 100-outlets chain. Great location in the downtown area near the convention center. Atmosphere of cowboy paraphernalia inside a convention-style lit room with TVs. Service was helpful, open and friendly all along the evening. Conventional fast-food booth seating. Food was average. Fried pickles were pretty good but came in a thick batter that overwhelms after a few bites. Wedge salad was average with an average dressing. The steak main courses were the most disappointing, the meat was tough to eat and I would have expected much better quality from a such a large chain’s buying power. So once the meat is tough, the rest of the plate cannot save the day. There are better options out there in Houston. P.S.: no need to send me a link to repeat the same feedback, thank you

  Terribly slow and poor service. Ordered take out and was advised it would be ready in 20 min. Make my way there and when I arrived I wasn’t greeted while multiple servers and managers walked by me. Finally get asked if I’d been helped and ask for my order. Get told it’s being bagged up and it’ll be ready in a minute. Wait an additional 10 minutes and ask the manager if it’s ready and get the generic it’ll be ready in a minute. Tell them I was told that 10 minutes ago and then get attitude from the manager. Pitiful.

  I had a great first experience at Saltgrass today! My server Juan was very attentive and took the time to explain the menu to me and give suggestions. The service was quick and he made me feel valued, he is very hospitable. The food was delicious, I thought my steak was cooked perfectly and I loved the caesar salad. It’s a very reasonable price, I got a cocktail, NY strip, and desert for around $65. I would highly recommend Saltgrass to anyone!

  The server talked up the portions so big that I ordered small on the pork ribs only to be dissapointed by the portion size and the fact that the pork ribs were cold. Service was poor but he was only a kid so I didn’t make any noise. Asparagus looked like it was run over by a truck a few times. Very disappointing. Asked for BBQ sauce never came. The glazed bacon on the menu shows three pieces but arrived with one. Again cold. The red wine was great. Drinks took forever to arrive. Poor standard of everything given the location and the price point. I wouldn’t go back unfortunately but the kid was great. How can a restaurant of this stature exist when you pay $40-$50 a steak. ??
