A classic 1950s diner meets energetic, fun sports bar, Pappas Burger is more than your typical burger joint; it's a one-of-a-kind burger haven serving Texas size burgers with fresh and flavorful toppings since 2001.
Justin was our server and he is outstanding. Friendly and professional and efficient.
Food was served hot and tasty.
Everything was very good. We drive from fulshear for the burgers. So you know it’s good. I love the fried pickles. The fried onions are amazing. The burgers are really good. The fries could have been a little crisper. But still good.
Again, Justin was great.

Im trying to like Pappas Burger. The atmosphere is nice and nostalgic.
The price is kinda high though. 20-25 per person. Although the basic burger is like $16
Pappas, I hope you read this. Please have the griddle turned up higher. I am sure your burgers are cooked to temperature, but there’s something called the Maillard effect that your burger really needs.
Right now, your patties are almost steamed. I know you don’t have flames in the back, but if you turned up the grill, you could really get that sear on the patty that would taste so much better.
Also, the onion rings are not good. They’re thin stringy and greasy. If I’m gonna eat a greasy onion ring, I wish it was a lot more onion. Like a fat onion ring would be nice.

Food was really good, my server on the other hand took 15 minutes to greet me. I did not see her at all once I received my food, which took an additional 15 minutes. She is not even the one that gave me my food so I really didn't see her from the time she greeted me till it was time for me to leave. This is my first time coming here, I will be back for the food but not the service 🫤

My friend and I ate the best hamburgers here. I normally enjoy french fries more and eat them first however I ate almost all of the hamburger and left ff. I really liked the cold frosted glass with the beer. Everything about this dining experience was memorable. Our server Nathan was wonderful he had the shake menu memorized. We got the milk shakes to go and are looking forward to eating here again.

Stopped by Papas Burger on Saturday evening for a burger with fries and onion rings, and the experience broke down on basic execution.
The fries initially came out cold, so I sent them back. A manager acknowledged it and had them remade, but what came back was worse. The fries were overcooked to the point they looked like sweet potato fries.
What really stood out to me is that a manager is the one who brought those fries to the table. That’s the last line of defense before food hits a guest, and they still let something that was clearly overcooked go out.
They took the plate back to show the kitchen, which left me eating my burger off a napkin with no sides. I’m not sure why the fries needed to be taken back to “show the kitchen” when a manager had already brought them out. That should’ve been caught before they ever reached the table.
After that, neither manager came back, apologized, or took any accountability. The only resolution was removing a shake from the bill, and that wasn’t even communicated by a manager, it was my server who told me.
On my way out, one of the managers made eye contact with me and still didn’t come over to address the situation. That says everything.
I could’ve been understanding if a manager had just stopped by and acknowledged what was going on. Mistakes happen. Avoiding the issue made it worse.
My server Lane did a great job and was attentive the whole time. The issue here is clearly management. On a Saturday evening with both managers present, there’s no excuse for this level of oversight.
I’ve frequented Papas before, which is why this is especially disappointing, but I won’t be back anytime soon based on this experience.
