  The sliced steak and baked macaroni were the best things I have eaten in Houston all season. I definitely outshined the Astros win, though. If you think you can handle someone who is an even better treat than the main course, leave a message and introduce yourself.

  We had Jose, a very young gentleman who will be very successful in anything he does in life. We started out with the bacon wrapped scallops and they were the best I've had in Houston. The lobster deviled eggs were something out of this world. We went with the bone in ribeye medium rare. Sides asparagus, potatoes au gratin, and lobster Mac n cheese. All amazing and the presentation was 10 star. We were about to leave and got the cheesecake and was the best we've ever had. Reservation was 7:45 and didn't get sat at our table until 8:20. It was a slammed Saturday night after a Astros day game. Sat at the bar while waiting and had great service as well. Over all, great Houston Service.

  This is as good as it gets for a steakhouse resturant. Pappa's is clearly in the top 2 or3 in Houston. The facility is beautiful. The selection of food is outstanding and the service is top shelf. You start to understand the term "dining experience" when you have a meal at this caliber of a resturant.

  I would give the food a 3. This was a Michelin guided restaurant so we were excited to experience it however we wouldn’t return. The steak could have been more flavorful although cooked perfectly. The bacon wrapped scallops were good but drenched in oil. The broccolini dish was drenched in oil as well. The waitress was ok, not friendly, just there to do her job. The water staff was kind and so were the people that delivered the food.

  I took my son here as a trial run to bring the whole family. Service was great, steak was on point. The side we purchased (skillet potatoes) didn’t match the description the waiter gave us as far as how it’s prepared. Not the waiter’s fault, it was poor cooking execution and the it was a soggy mess. I asked for medium well on my $56 salmon and it was dry throughout, and the salmon was fairly pale white, which told me it was likely farm raised, inexpensive piece of salmon. Hardly no flavor. Shrimp didn’t taste fresh although cooked well and the sauce was just okay. So, the sides and the salmon were a huge disappointment. I expected better from Papa’s top line restaurant. I regularly enjoy their other chains (the salmon is outstanding) but to pay nearly double for near flavorless salmon was a shock. I won’t be taking my family back.
