My husband and I went to celebrate our 5-year anniversary, and unfortunately, it turned into a very disappointing experience. From the moment we arrived, the host almost bumped into me before seating us and never apologized. Our waitress was rude and unprofessional throughout the entire meal. We weren’t even offered bread until I asked for it. To make matters worse, my food came out first, and my husband’s didn’t arrive until about 30 minutes later. This was supposed to be a special celebration, but the service completely ruined the experience. We didn’t even eat our food because of how poorly everything was handled. I wouldn’t wish this kind of service on anyone. What a day to remember for all the wrong reasons while celebrating such an important milestone. Please don’t attend this location😢

Heard the bacon wrapped shrimp was good so I tried it accidentally at their partners restaurant ( Pappasito’s) it was yuck. Went back to the source she said no pappadeaux. So I went and OMG Sooo good. I was scared it came with dirty rice because I don’t really like dirty rice but that was the best part. So crazy. It’s all about who the chef is.

First, I placed a reservation for my family of 8 to celebrate my husband’s birthday but I mistakenly placed reservations for the wrong location. I spoke to Star at the hostess station and she was able to get us a table right away, which we really appreciated. She’s so friendly and accommodating and then she asked me if we were celebrating anything and I told her yes, it was my husband’s birthday and she wished him a happy birthday. That was so sweet of her. It was busy at that time and she could have easily dismissed that but she didn’t. Then we were seated and Jay was our server. He was very attentive and took care of us the whole time. He made sure we had everything to make our dinner special. At our table, we had two crawfish platters, the shrimp Caesar salad, a baked potato, a shrimp platter, mozzarella sticks, a chicken tender platter, and a grilled half chicken plate. Everything was delicious and we had a wonderful meal. We appreciate you all! PS I called the other Pappadeaux and canceled the original reservation. That young lady was also polite and very helpful.

It’s Pappadeaux on 610. It’s been here forever! I’m not personally a big fan just bc I think it’s over priced and they don’t have the happy hour menu that I liked anymore. It’s good. The food is good. It’s always extremely crowded on holidays! I ordered a margarita. I think it was patron or some type of tequila and it was really good. I could have drank two or three. My friend had a drink. I can’t remember the name but she did order two. We stopped by to have drinks at the bar. I was shocked we found a seat. We stayed about an hour. It was cool. The service was good.

Wow!😮 This place has definitely gone down from what I remember 30 years ago. Mind you that’s a long time, however. A themed restaurant should never lose its identity, no matter what the circumstances. I walked in and the three hostesses barely said hi to me until I was four steps into the door— the greeting should’ve been immediate when I stepped in the door as well as eye contact. Their heads down, deep into their own conversation, and it seemed I had interrupted a high school girl-talk session when I walked in. That doesn’t make a customer feel welcomed. I declined seating and told them I was heading to the bar. Sitting at the bar half full with patrons seemed to be the norm and I was just starting to settle in and look at the menu when I noticed something terribly off – they Weren’t playing the traditional bubbling and bustling Zydeco music which is congruent with the Louisiana Mardi Gras style motif of the restaurant; they were playing R&B music😐 Now I’m black and I love me some R&B music, but not at Louisiana Mardi Gras theme-styled restaurant that is known for playing Zydeco—like, who does that??🤔 And just because Black patronage has exponentially increased over the last 30 years to where they are the majority of the customer base, doesn’t give you cause to change the direction of the company’s layout it theme. When I go to Mexican restaurants, I expect to hear Mexican music and see Mexican decorations. Don’t start playing Luther Vandross just because you see my black ass coming to be the establishment. Because my expectations were not met and my experience was ruined, I had no desire to stay. I sipped two more gulps of my lemon water, and went back to my car and drove off to dine somewhere else.
