The host and hostesses working the front were super kind, and Lyana was an amazing waitress! She was so friendly, gave me great recommendations for sauces to go with my chicken strips, and made the experience even better. Definitely recommend asking for her! 💕

Probably the most disappointed I’ve been in a while considering this is all I came for.

My experience with this Outback Steakhouse location has been disappointing enough that I won’t be returning; Possibly never going to another location as a whole. The first issue started during my previous visit when my steak was cooked incorrectly. I specifically ordered it medium rare, but it came out much closer to well done while somehow still being ice cold in the center. I had requested it medium rare because I’m anemic and, at the time, was on my menstrual cycle, so getting the meal cooked as ordered was especially important to me. To make up for the mistake, the restaurant gave me a $20 compensation card to use on a future visit. When I tried to redeem that card online, it wouldn’t work. I ended up having to place the order over the phone instead and pick it up in person. My boyfriend went inside to collect the order, and that’s where the experience became far worse than the original food issue. The staff insisted the compensation card had already been used, even though it had not. Rather than trying to resolve the issue professionally, they argued with him for 15–20 minutes. The interaction left us feeling as though he was being treated with suspicion instead of as a paying customer. As a Mexican man, the way he was spoken to and treated made us feel stereotyped and unfairly judged. Whether intentional or not, the interaction felt dehumanizing and discriminatory. I eventually had to come inside myself to explain why we had the card in the first place—that it had been issued because the restaurant had previously made a mistake with our order. Even after everything was explained, there was no genuine apology for the way my boyfriend had been treated, no apology for the inconvenience, and no attempt to make things right. The entire ordeal made me late for work, and no one acknowledged or apologized for that either. To make matters worse, after finally receiving our food, both steaks were once again overcooked, tough, and cold from sitting while the staff argued over the compensation card they had issued themselves. I’ve worked in the food service industry for nearly a decade, so I understand that mistakes happen. What separates a good restaurant from a bad one is how those mistakes are handled. Unfortunately, this experience showed a complete lack of professionalism, accountability, empathy, and customer care. We’re not the type of people to complain over small inconveniences, but this crossed the line. Between the repeated food quality issues, the poor customer service, the lack of accountability, and the treatment my boyfriend received, we’ve lost confidence in this restaurant. Experiences like this are why businesses lose loyal customers—not just because of declining food quality, but because of how management and staff choose to treat people. I will not be returning to this location, and unfortunately, this experience has made me hesitant to visit any Outback Steakhouse again.
