I will never go back. I had a taste for some good homemade meatloaf but it looked like it was at least two weeks old, not appealing at all. I settled for a veggie plate, bad idea. Cabbage was overwhelming seasoned with too much garlic; the greens tasted more like mustard, but the sign read collar, they were stringy and tasteless cause it had no flavor; I saw pieces of pork which made me think it was going to be really good, not! Also all the meats looked like leftover scrapes. I have no I'll will for the restaurant but they need to do better. The staff was great, friendly and polite.

The food here is AMAZING, and the atmosphere matches like Church clothes on Easter. My favorite thing to get here is the pork chops, mac n cheese, and greens. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 They also have several low sodium options. They recently added an outdoor lounge area that is truly a vibe. They also added a lot of new parking spaces, although the parking lot behind it was already huge (by Unity Bank). Sometimes they have a lunch rush, but it’s never a long wait. The service is always professional and welcoming. And you never know what celebrities you might meet when you come in. I got to meet the legendary Dusty Baker there randomly when I was picking up lunch for me and my wife, not long after the Astros won the World Series in 2022.

Nylah was nice she gave me time to look at the menu thoroughly. One think I can’t stand is rushing to choose my meal and she was nice that immediately struck me. I haven’t eaten the food yet but I’m sure it’s finna be good I’ve eaten here before. The environment was clean not gonna lie I came during non busy hours but it was nice. And she gave me included cornbread she didn’t have to but she did.

The decor was very appealing although a bit warm for a Sunday afternoon. The food was a thoroughly seasoned!! If it was supposed to be sweet, it was definitely sweet; salty, definitely salty! You get the point! The service was average, meh. The drinks were off taste and I asked to switch it but that was met with a well that’s what you ordered! After spending $80 for two ppl, you’d think the experience would be different! I trashed the drink and left! Thank you. I had the Houston experience, however it’s not an experience I want to repeat.

Well where do I start… The men working the line were nice and patient, however the so called “manager” was so rude and had the worst attitude I’ve seen at an establishment in a very long time. Apparently she’s the night manager. My mom was so excited to come back to Mikki’s since she is from out of town. This visit has left such a sour taste in our mouth that we do not want to come back. My mom’s pasta was cold, wasn’t even hot. She asked could she get something else instead and was given the funkiest attitude about it. She finally let my mom exchange for the beef tips after she told her “can’t do that, can’t do that” to every other replacement she said she would get, even if we had to pay the price difference. . Beef tips is just beef pieces in a soup like gravy, comes on top of rice or potatoes . She gave her a bowl of just the beef and had the audacity to have an attitude when we asked for a side of RICE! Then got mad at one of the line men and said she would take it out his tip. INSANE, over rice! Then we heard her speaking loudly about being “difficult” when no one was difficult . The food was cold and subpar. I spent over $120 for our meals you bet if it’s not right we will be asking for it to be fixed! Whoever owns this operation, pick better management. She does NOT have the attitude for a leadership role and it will mess with you business. & I must add even before the exchange of food she wasn’t pleasant, AT ALL! On her phone at the register . Not paying attention, no smile, NOTHING. Attitude as soon as you walk up. just sad.
