  Disclaimer: I didn’t know they had 3 stars on Yelp before booking but I should’ve checked. On Google there are several reviews about the slowness of service although not being busy. :/ I already filled out a Landry's feedback form and emailed social@ldry.com The least the manager Glenn could’ve done was stopped by the table by nights end and blamed it on something lmao. I talked to him earlier and things only took longer after doing so. Not sure if he thought we were going to ask for $2 off an already modest meal price. All the staff including the manager seemed lackadaisical as if they were off already. I know it was 6pm Sunday but this was odd. Our server was doing his best, although he was missing for some time. They may have been understaffed. I’ve served before so I try to empathize. I had to get us soup bowls and spoons from a cook after having asked two servers. There was hardly anyone at the restaurant for us to be sat promptly at 5:45pm (our res time) and not leave until 8:30pm?? 1 hostess, 1 manager and 4 or so servers, 1 couple at the bar and 2 booths at the bar. Maybe 4 or 5 tables in the main dining. A ghost town. Thankfully my food and the cocktail (we all finished our drinks before dinner was even close to being put on the table) were great. Half the table liked their dinner and the other half were just starving and did not care for the food or completely turned off by the wait times and service. Hopefully this doesn’t sound entitled. Just disappointed by the xp, I haven’t been to an M&S in years let alone this location and had the group excited for it to be a sour experience. For this to be in my neighborhood I'm now wishing I never knew about the location.

  My overall experience was good. The best clam chowder in Houston hands-down also don’t bypass the sirloin with the mashed potatoes and broccolini very overlooked. It was excellent tender very juicy.

  My husband and I stopped in for a late lunch. We have always loved M&S but hadn't been here for a while. We had a fabulous meal and Oscar took amazing care of us. The menu had been refreshed, but our old favorites were there too. We had an incredible meal, the best we have had in a while. Oscar made sure we were completely satisfied and was a true professional in every way. Thanks to all for a great experience!

  I’ve been here twice, both times during Houston’s restaurant month. The first time in 2024 was good..this time not so much. The area and the restaurant interior are very nice. Parking was not an issue at 7pm on a Saturday. Thankful for that. The service was a little slow. Not sure if they are understaffed but the time in between getting drinks and actually eating takes patience. Our server was pleasant and knowledgeable but the food was MID at best. Of course this was from a scaled down restaurant month menu. The best items we had were the bread and the lobster bisque. Had the steak and shrimp entree which was middle of the road because the mashed potatoes were stiff and cold. The butter cake was totally trash for me. The place was almost full when we arrived so hopefully others had a better experience, but I think that we are done.

  We waited 20 minutes to just get water in our water glasses. Then waited 30 minutes for our drinks we ordered which I asked another server about because ours had vanished since she took our order. I had to get up 3 times in our meal and speak with the manager, once for the waters and our drinks, then for the food and then for the dessert which came our not done properly and the manager admitted it. They tried to charge us from going from baked potatoe to mashed and so we said it’s ok just do the baked then that’s fine. Instead they brought us the mashed and the baked? The entire experience really boils down to poor service and also a clear reduction in food quality and also consistency and sizes. We have been coming here for over ten years. We are now done coming and will find another steak restaurant in the area next time. The only real good thing was the bread, but you have to beg for more when your out, which was also part of the poor experience. Just skip this place and find a better place to have an expensive night out.
