- SSSammie SanchezAug 5, 20262.0We came in really excited to try Pappasito’s because we’re die-hard El Tiempo fans, and unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to our expectations. We shared the beef fajita entrée, and while I did like the flavor of the meat, the salsa wasn’t our favorite. I also ordered the corn tortillas, and honestly, they were not good at all. On top of that, we were charged extra for sour cream and shredded cheese, which was surprising considering the price of the meal. The biggest issue was the timing. Our fajitas came out, but we had to wait about 7 minutes for our tortillas. I understand that things happen in a busy restaurant, but I think it would have made more sense to wait and bring the food out once everything was ready. Tortillas are part of the meal, and waiting for them took away from the experience. Overall, it just wasn’t what we were expecting, especially after hearing so many good things. For us, it wasn’t worth the price, and we’ll probably stick with El Tiempo.

We did the restaurant week meal deal that was $40 and it was well worth the money. The chicken fajitas were some of the best I’ve had in the city. The guac was great as well, it was seasoned perfectly. The tres leches took home the win over the cheesecake but both are worth trying! Cannot wait to come back!

Every member of the staff made us feel so welcome, and our waiter, Brandon D., was absolutely fantastic. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure our family had a great meal. Everyone was incredibly accommodating and kind to my husband, our two young children, and me. The food was outstanding, and the watermelon mint lemonade was refreshing, and absolutely delicious. We can't recommend this charming restaurant enough and will definitely be back!

From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome. Ava was our server, and she did an amazing job—friendly, attentive, and always one step ahead. The manager was also incredibly kind and even treated us queso since it was my husband’s first visit, which was such a thoughtful touch. I’m sorry if we messed up her name - (Varisha) she was soooo nice! Since it was our first time, the staff helped guide us through the menu. We ended up ordering the watermelon margarita, and it was absolutely delicious! Every dish we ordered was excellent, and you could really tell the quality was there. We also loved that this location is one of the test kitchens, so you get to try new recipes before they’re introduced at other restaurants. The atmosphere was fun, welcoming, and very family-friendly.

The food blew us away—the red snapper fish tacos were incredible, my brother-in-law’s flautas were delicious, and my sister’s Diablo shrimp was so good we all had to steal a bite! Service was top-notch, and my sweet tea glass was never empty. Highly recommend to locals and visitors alike!"
