Rude self checkout cashier screamed at my son over nothing... then, as we were leaving, our cart suddenly "locked" between the exit doors, and the rude cashier summoned a manager who demanded to see our receipt for our BAGGED cart of almost $300 worth of groceries while blocking my way out-so basically holding us and our groceries hostage with NO proof of any wrongdoing or theft on our part...I believe the cashier and her coworker are racist and discriminatory. After trying to make a complaint thru the HEB customer service phone number, I got a call from Ivan, the store manager, who lied and gaslit me. As such, I'm not satisfied with his response..as a former employee of their sister store, Central Market, I'm appalled by how this has been handled so far-because if I had behaved that way, I would have been immediately suspended if not terminated. This store has many Google complaints about racism already, so, clearly, they're not taking things seriously enough. That needs to change. **UPDATE--some guy named Rick, who claimed to be the general manager, left me a voicemail saying he would call back, and never did... here's the thing-I dont trust or want to talk to anyone from that store-I want to talk to corporate-I dont think yall realize just how serious this is-HEY CORPORATE-if you actually care, stop pawning me off on your inept managers, and call me yourselves**

I was told by individuals at the store that I’d receive an item for free, but when I returned, I was denied. I also found their personal remarks inappropriate.
