This is my H-E-B. It is less than a mile from my house and I shop here every day be it personal or with the shopping service. It is very apparent that you'll are modifying some things in regards to your manpower. There’s no reason that it’s 6:30 yet only three or four lines open new staff struggling to keep up and there’s nobody manning the front. The lines are back beyond the florist. This isn’t a good look for a store that does as much productivity. Additionally, you all have pallets out in the aisle at 9 o’clock because your shelves a bare you guys really need to take time to evaluate shoppers demands & traffic. This doesn’t feel good at all It’s very unattractive very disappointing.!! You’ve lost your five star rating. You’re barely at 2 1/2 maybe three get it together!

I have never been treated so dismissively unprofessionally by a customer service employee in my life. I visited the Financial Services department at the HEB on San Felipe to make my rent payment, something I have done successfully at this location for nearly a year. I was informed that there is now a $2,500 daily payment limit, which meant I could no longer make my $4,000 rent payment in the same manner. While I was understandably frustrated by the sudden policy change, I fully understand that employees do not make the rules. My issue is not with the policy. My issue is with the appalling way it was communicated. The employee assisting me, Darr, was rude, dismissive, sarcastic, and completely uninterested in helping. Rather than providing clarification or guidance, she repeatedly acted as though my questions were an inconvenience. When I asked reasonable follow-up questions about whether another HEB location could process the payment or what alternatives might exist, I was met with shrugs, dismissive responses, and an attitude that essentially communicated, “Not my problem.” What made the interaction especially shocking was the apparent lack of professionalism. She smirked during the conversation, responded with sarcasm, and showed absolutely no empathy despite me explaining that this was my rent payment and that I was facing a deadline. At no point did she attempt to de-escalate the situation, provide useful information, or direct me to someone who could assist. Instead, she seemed more interested in enforcing a rule than helping a customer understand it. Even more concerning, she appeared surprisingly uninformed about the very policy she was enforcing. If an employee is going to be the face of a policy change that significantly impacts customers, they should be able to answer basic questions about it. Instead, I was repeatedly told that she didn’t know, didn’t rent, and that it wasn’t her concern. This type of behavior is completely at odds with the HEB brand. HEB has earned a reputation for being welcoming, customer-focused, and community-oriented. Unfortunately this interaction reflected the exact opposite. One employee’s rude, entitled, and unprofessional attitude was enough to leave a lasting negative impression and tarnish what has otherwise been a positive experience with HEB. Policies change. Customers understand that. What customers should not have to tolerate is being treated with contempt for simply asking questions. I sincerely hope management addresses this issue, because someone representing HEB in a customer-facing leadership position should possess basic professionalism, product knowledge, patience, and respect for the people they serve. Thank you however to Mikaila and Dylan for helping me get more clarification after I was not able to receive any help from anyone else. I appreciate their hard work and patience when it comes to the work they do and the effort they put in.
