Jocelyn is the rudest cashier I've experienced at this location I've made the mistake of getting in her line twice. On both instances she threw im items or slammed them down at me. Idk know if she is having bad days or im interrupting her conversation with the gentleman bagging yhe grocery but her customer service is zero!

My cousin had a wedding cake mishap. I showed up at 4:30 PM at H-E-B Heights #737 for a 6:30 PM wedding. I explained to Victoria, the H-E-B baker, that I needed a two-tier chocolate cake with white frosting, but I only saw the small size and needed a bigger one so I could take it home to stack and decorate with H-E-B flowers. She said she could look in the back.
She found one, but it was a different shade of white than the smaller one. She then told me to give her 15 minutes, and she came out with the layers already stacked and covered in the same white frosting. I yelled out in pure happiness—she saved the day!
Then I went to speak to Mario, the H-E-B florist. He had just returned after dropping off the wedding flower arrangements at the venue. I told him I needed the same type of flowers he used for the sweetheart table, and he helped me select them so I could arrange them on the cake. The couple got their special moment during the cake cutting thanks to H-E-B's teamwork and staff going out of their way. What extraordinary customer service from Victoria and Mario!

I love going to HEB but this morning my food benefits were stolen and the last transaction I made was in person. I woke up and checked my balance and they left me with 4 cents. They tried to do an online purchase but failed, then they did another and it went thru, but the store is located in New York. I have never been to New York! Now I have nothing to buy groceries for my kids. Has anyone else had their benefits stolen from an HEB store?

Look, I’ve lived in the Heights long enough to remember when this neighborhood was “dry.” (Ok, not really, but it sounds so much better that way) Then H-E-B showed up on Shepherd, changed the laws of physics (and local ordinance), and built a two-story temple of tortillas, queso, and pure Texas joy.
Walking into this place feels like the grocery gods finally decided we were worthy. Escalators. Elevators. Covered parking so your car doesn’t melt into the asphalt like a bad Houston summer romance. The produce section alone could make a grown adult cry tears of lime and avocado. The bakery smells like it personally knows your childhood. And the fresh tortillas? They’re still warm enough to use as a hand warmer on the walk back to the car.
The people who work here are somehow both efficient and genuinely friendly, which in Houston traffic terms is the equivalent of finding a unicorn that also knows how to parallel park. I’ve seen cashiers bag my groceries with the kind of care normally reserved for heart surgery, and the curbside folks somehow always know when I’ve forgotten the one thing I actually came for.
Is it busy? Yes. Is the parking garage a mild adventure in human patience? Occasionally. Do I still drive past three other grocery stores just to come here? Every single time. Because this isn’t just a grocery store. This is the Heights’ living room, pantry, and emotional support building all rolled into one multi-level masterpiece.
10/10 would change local alcohol laws for again.

It would be nice if the lady janitor(s) say excuse me when entering the men's restroom. They walk in there entitled to the storage closet all the time without notifying any gentlemen. Imagine if a man would do that in the ladies room?I bet he would get fired and dehumanized. I find that very hypocritical. Seems like they don't train these girls enough to demonstrate proper etiquette.
