Parking here is a nightmare. I always do curbside & the staff is friendly. I have had so many great conversations with lots of staff members.

No clue what is going on in curbside, but twice now I have placed an order for curbside pickup and I either get the wrong items, or I don't get them at all. Then I have to wait for a refund to be approved by HEB and wait longer for it to go back on my card. It's very annoying. Hire more people or limit curbside orders per day so this can be avoided.

I had a very disappointing experience at H-E-B this morning around 8:15 AM in the seafood section. When I arrived, there was only one employee working in the department. She clearly saw me waiting but never acknowledged me. She didn’t say hello, let me know she’d be right with me, or offer any kind of greeting. She simply continued doing what she was doing while I stood there waiting. When she finally came over, her demeanor was not welcoming at all. Instead of asking how she could help, her attitude came across more as if she was annoyed that I needed assistance. I requested one pound of shrimp, which is something I purchase regularly. However, she only placed about four or five shrimp in the bag. It immediately looked much smaller than the one-pound portions I normally receive. I mentioned that it didn’t look right, and she responded that adding more would make it over half a pound. At that point, I told her that I hadn’t asked for half a pound—I had asked for one pound. Her response made it obvious that she either wasn’t listening or simply didn’t want to be bothered. She then rolled her eyes, added more shrimp, and practically threw them into the bag. The entire interaction was uncomfortable. There was no courtesy, no professionalism, and no customer service. Her attitude was so standoffish that I seriously considered handing the shrimp back and leaving the store altogether. Afterward, she walked toward the back freezer area and began visibly slamming items around while I was still standing there. At that point, I asked her to get a manager. She said, “Yeah, one minute,” but never did. Instead, she continued helping other customers. I ended up walking around the store myself to find someone. I spoke with an employee named Nolan. He explained that he was not a manager but said he would pass the information along to one, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, what happened next is the main reason I’m writing this review. I later returned to the area to finish shopping for vegetables and overheard the employee openly talking about the situation with Nolan. The conversation was loud enough for customers to hear, and the tone was very much “I don’t care.” They were somewhat laughing about it, which made the situation even more unprofessional and uncomfortable. I’ve always expected better customer service from H-E-B, which is why this experience stood out so much. Everyone can have a bad day, but customers should still be treated with basic courtesy and respect. Based on this interaction, I’m not sure I’ll be returning to this location.
