  I typically shop at the H-E-B in the Heights on Shepherd since it’s closest to my home. However, I made a last-minute stop at this location while preparing for an impromptu picnic with a friend at Spotts Park. My first impression was okay, but once we entered the store, the overall atmosphere felt chaotic. What stood out the most, though, was how rude the employees were, especially those from working in the sushi area. My friend and I both place a high value on customer service, and unfortunately, this experience left a bad taste in our mouths. It was enough to make us leave without purchasing a single item and drive all the way back to the Heights location to get everything we needed before heading to the park, which was only minutes away from the location we originally visited. Was it an inconvenience? Absolutely. But it was well worth it to shop somewhere we felt welcomed and appreciated. At the end of the day, customers have choices about where they spend their hard-earned money. Good customer service can make all the difference, and a poor experience can be enough to lose a sale, even when the more convenient option is right in front of you.

  HEB DO BETTER BY THOSE THAT WORK CURBSIDE WHEN IT RAINS. Move the pick up to the garage so they don't get sick! I just watched this girl get soaking wet trying to put groceries in a car. And CUSTOMERS DO better, let them put it in the back seat or back in BE CONSIDERATE ESPECIALLY if you are not going to tip them. Yes you should tip them!!

  Cashier that was a woman with glasses at the express checkout lane # 1 on 9-27-2026 in the evening hours (Evelyn) is the name showing on the receipt was very rude and this was one of the worst customer service I have recieved from any HEB. She bagged items so sloppily and had a very bad attitude towards customers. I am so shocked usually HEB customer service is good but she really dropped the ball. Not sure what biases she may have had that made her feel like she could just bag customers items sloppily and just toss it but when you are working leave your attitude at home. She had disrespectful, bad energy and I don’t think I will return to this location. If I ever happen to go to this location for whatever reason, then I will make sure that I am not checked out by her because that was really really horrible customer service And and left me very disappointed with H-E-B.

  Health Regulations: Texas health rules ban live animals in areas where food is prepared, stored, or sold to prevent contamination from hair, dander, and waste. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), only dogs trained to do specific tasks for a disability are allowed inside.HEB doesn’t seem to be monitoring Pets being brought into the store.
