  I went on 1/26/26 the food was terrible, none of the meat tasted like it was smoked. I bought chicken, ribs, beef & sausage and everyone I bought food for was disappointed. If I lived closer I would have taken all my food back. I wasted a $100.00 & gas money. They are not good like they use to be.

  First time there. Great ambience and crew. Very friendly and engaged team. Got a sampler with brisket, sausage and turkey. The BBQ was good, but a little dryish. But it may just be because I love saucy almost to the point of messy 🤪

  We ordered pre-Juneteenth barbecue meal. We had several restaurants to choose from but Gatlin's was our number 1 choice. Food was delicious(picked up and enjoyed at home) staff were friendly and professional.

  Please Mrs.Gatlin keep your Ruled unfriendly big Son in the back cooking because he doesn't need to be in the front with Customers. You will lose alot of customers. I have been in your restaurant 3 times no more. He's very disrespectful.

  First off I'd like to say this is not a Gatlin's bashing story. I will be as honest and objective as one should be when posting reviews. As it is a local spot for me I want nothing but the best for this establishment. I've eaten here probably 6 - 8 times since they opened. And they have been consistently inconsistent during this period when I've visited. It's like hit and miss. Today was a miss. If I wasn't starving ( I planned on lunching here days ago) and wasn't leaving the state for 3 months, I probably should have sent it back. Particulars: sliced brisket sammich on Texas toast, a side of baby back ribs, all mixed. Meaning not a lot of fat or dry. The ribs were not only on the dry side, but appeared to have stayed on the pit too long. The sammich was also on the dry side. Normally my judgment of smoked brisket and/or ribs comes down to, can you eat it without any sauce? What can I say positive While the flavors, spices, and the portion sizes were spot on, the dryness sunk it. I know everything is costing more these days and a dollar doesn't go very far, but when one spends around $30. for a sammich and three ribs. I expect to be totally satisfied. I wasn't. The good things? The place is clean, the young lady that took my order was nice and friendly, and they quickly attend to tables once the guests leave? Will I go back? Yes, at least one more time, because I know when they do it right, its because the can create good food.
