- JRJ RApr 29, 20261.0This was easily the worst Five Guys experience I’ve had, and honestly one of the worst fast-food experiences in general. I walked in at 11:15 pm — they close at midnight — but you would’ve thought I showed up after closing. The entire staff had that “we don’t want to be here” attitude, and it was obvious customers were just an inconvenience to them. Service felt lazy and dismissive from the start. The menu screens were completely turned off. I had to ask them to turn them on just so I could see what to order. That’s basic functionality for a restaurant that is STILL OPEN. There’s no excuse for that. They also shut down the free peanuts area early, which is something Five Guys is known for. It felt like they were already cutting corners and closing things down just to avoid doing extra work, instead of actually serving customers during posted hours. And then the price — $21 for a cheeseburger and fries, no drink. That’s honestly ridiculous. The food itself didn’t even come close to justifying it. The burger looked average at best, nothing special, and the fries were inconsistent and overcooked in parts. It didn’t even feel like a “premium fast food” meal — just a regular, messy burger and fries with a premium price tag. Does this look like it’s worth $21 to you? If the staff is going to act like they’re closed 45 minutes early, then just close early. Don’t stay open and treat paying customers like they’re a problem. Completely unacceptable.

Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.

Leftover fries are excellent reheated in the oven (or Air Fryer). According to Chad Murrell, one of the Five Guys, just pop them in a 350-degree oven for about 10-15 minutes.
