  I'm so glad they opened this checkers at this location on jones and 1960 i love their food and their deals and "Z" is super polite.

  I'm so happy this Checkers location is so close to me! My food is always fresh, the staff is friendly, and the manager Zee goes above and beyond to make customers feel welcome!

  **New to Houston and 13 year Marine Corps veteran. I stopped by Checker's today on my way home from an appointment and I was disappointed with the service. I ordered a burger, large fries, and chicken combo. I also ordered a burger combo meal for my husband, while at the window. I did not have the fries that came with the original order I placed so I called them. They said they would fix the problem if I came back to the store. When I arrived, they were hesitant to fix THEIR error. Distasteful. I also asked if my husband (who was not present) could switch the tea for a different beverage. The drink tasted like sugar water with a hint of questionable aftertaste. The tea was disgusting, no exaggeration. They said no because you drove off and came back. I explained that me driving away doesn't change the fact that the tea is bad. I asked politely if they could go taste it to see what I meant. They refused to fix their deficiency, hence, the one star performance review.

  Asked for no letttuce and onions had lettuce and onions. Gave me old fries. I asked for new ones they dropped the same fries in grease again and handed them back. Will not return.

  When this location 1st opened it was great. Now.... it's terrible. Ordered online delivery and they could not get any of the sandwiches correct and my XL fries came in a cup that was only 2/3 full. Because the order was so bad, I got a refund on most of the order from the online delivery service as they wouldnt re-deliver what I had actually orderd. That said, we still needed to eat. So, I drove 15 minutes to the store to reorder what was delivered that was inedible. I ordered the correct sandwich in the drivethrough and then pulled around to the window. Spoke to manager and she said sorry about that, it will be $5.50 something. WHAT!! $5.50!!! I shouldnt pay for anything here. Yes, I was refunded for the food they messed up and made wrong but, I also paid a delivery fee of 3.99 plus a $3 processing fee and a $5 tip to get my order delivered. Then I had to drive to the store at my cost. Have have you seen gas prices? Lastly my time, I had to get dressed, drive to store, order and drive home. I ordered a delivery so I would NOT not have to leave my house. Hello!!! So I am all in for like $15 in fees plus my time and I am the one driving back to the store to fix theIr mistake. And she wants to tell me that will be $5.50. I paid it to make sure my family ate but that's the last time I'll spend a penny here. So all in all its now 11.49pm, well past me wanting to be asleep and I'm looking at this sandwich wanting to just throw it in the trash. I'm done with this spot!! Not worth my time or my dime EVER again. Cooks can read. How hard is chicken sanwich, no mayo, no lettuce. Add cheese and top with fries. I got extra mayo, tons of lettuce, no cheese and no fries. Management cant retain customers. A good manager or store operator would have comped the sandwich and would have kept a customer. She said that will be 5.50 and lost a customer. And frankly, food is just not as good as it was when they opened. Unfortunate, but there are 100s of better options!!
