We had a wonderful dinner there tonight. My steak was cooked perfectly and my husband's bkackened fish was delicious he said. We sat by the window and really loved the waterfalls and lush greenery. It is really rustic looking inside and us a small, intimate dining room. Wait person was very attentive.

Had the pleasure of attending a private dinner party here last night! The food was absolutely amazing! The servers and bartender took care of our group so well. We had fried lobster bites. Huge jumbo shrimp cocktail. Extraordinary lamb tomahawks. Lobster bisque was best I’ve ever had. Our group enjoyed filet mignon and salmon or chicken. I know our hostess was very pleased as were all the guests !! Well done to the Brenners crew last night!!

I had an outstanding lunch experience at this restaurant. The daily special I ordered was absolutely delicious, full of fresh local‑style ingredients. Service was quick and efficient, ideal for people with limited lunch break time. The dining area is bright and spotlessly clean. Staff greet every guest with genuine kindness. Drinks are nicely prepared, and refill service is prompt. Value is fantastic for what you get. I will absolutely return to try more lunch specials and bring my work teammates along with me.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Brenner’s. I’m new to Houston and had heard such great things about Brenner’s, so I was genuinely looking forward to checking it out. Unfortunately, the service did not come close to the experience I expected.
Our servers were extremely forgetful, and there were long periods of time before anyone came back to take our orders or check on us. We constantly had to remind the staff about things we had already requested, which became frustrating and took away from the overall dining experience.
It also seemed as though the servers were much more focused on entertaining a couple sitting at the bar than taking care of the other guests. They were engaged in lengthy, random personal conversations with them, including questions such as, “Where did your mom get your name from?” While I have no issue with friendly conversation, it was distracting when our table was waiting for basic service.
On top of that, there was loud profanity being used during these conversations. I found that especially inappropriate for the atmosphere and level of establishment Brenner’s presents itself to be.
The most disappointing moment was when my server brought my food that had been boxed to go. Rather than handing it to me or placing it somewhere appropriate, the server literally placed the boxed food **on the floor next to me** and walked away. I was honestly shocked. Placing a customer’s food on the floor instead of handing it to them is completely inappropriate and unacceptable.
Overall, the lack of attentiveness, professionalism, and basic courtesy was extremely disappointing. I came in with high expectations because of everything I had heard about Brenner’s, especially as someone new to Houston wanting to experience some of the restaurants the city is known for. Unfortunately, this visit left a very poor first impression.
I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the service and professionalism concerns with the staff. The experience did not reflect the reputation I had heard about Brenner’s.

There are so many better options at this price point. Nothing about the food, service, or presentation stood out or justified the cost. The restaurant itself feels dated and seems to cater to an older crowd.
Even the small details were disappointing. My lemon drop martini arrived with a giant lemon wedge instead of a simple lemon twist or peel, which felt out of place for a restaurant positioning itself as fine dining.
Overall, this was some of the worst money we’ve spent on a dining experience, and unfortunately, we won’t be returning.
