Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

- JJJade JonesSep 4, 20261.0I went through the drive thru and ordered an avocado bacon burger no onions while on a late night drive with some urgency. At first I thought I was given the wrong ketchup so I went in to grab the spicy kind I asked for- and when I got back to the car I realized I was given the complete wrong burger and went inside to let them know. i returned the wrong burger still fully wrapped and untouched. I informed them, they asked me my name, and walked away for several minutes. Another worker asked me what I ordered and I repeated my order- avocado bacon burger no onions. They walked away. Several minutes later a worker comes out with a bag and asks me again what I ordered. I tell her. She tells me she'd like to see my receipt. The receipt is in my car- parked far away bc the lot is full. She asks again to see the receipt. I go all the way out to my car to get the receipt that I ordered 15 minutes ago because this entire process has taken almost 25 minutes from my initial ordering and I do have someplace to be as soon as possible. I take in my receipt and only then am I given the burger- clearly made in a rush it isnt very good. I'm pretty irritated- for one, I clearly am not scamming you I returned the wrong burger untouched?? I also have a very specific order and I wasn't unkind to anyone. Why was my burger held hostage against a receipt when they should be able to easily tell who has ordered what in the last 15 minutes? Lastly, I am not the one who messed up the order. I was given the complete wrong burger. It wouldve been nice to receive any customer service instead of suspicion over ONE tasteless burger that I paid $15 dollars for.
