  The food was amazing!! Best Mexican breakfast Ive had in Texas!! This will definitely be a required stop on our way home. The staff were friendly and so welcoming!

  Dfw locations are good. Hillsboro one seems to miss the mark completely. Unfriendly/unhappy staff. Incorrect orders. Incorrect menus. Depending on the line cook on shift. The tortillas will either be perfect or straight out of the bag not even reheated. No consistency.

  I was not at all pleased with the trompo tacos that I received. Soon after they opened I decided to try out the trompo tacos with their $4 off coupon. The lady with dark colored hair and glasses told me I had to choose their $20 priced special. She was very pushy, making it the only way I could select the trompo. I ordered it to go, so I waited, got it and brought it home. I opened it up and looked at the pathetic excuse for Mexican food right before me. The meat was dried out like leftovers, and I only got very little compared to what you should get. The peppers looked sad, old and wilty. Overall it tasted like it was saved from the day before, tough and barely any amount for each taco. I noticed a sign in the restaurant promising a free churro for a 5-star review on Google. Yeesh, bribing folks for a churro to inflate their reviews, pretty shady in my book. What a disappointment ripping people off with the way she steered the purchase even with the coupon. Then after getting the food it looked awfully like leftovers, and very little at that. I did eat it, but very bland is what it turned out to be. I would not recommend this place in Hillsboro at all. The lack of cars should have told me not to eat there. Ended up wasting my money there, never again.

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you’re in Hillsboro, Texas, do yourself a favor and stop by Taqueria Taxco! I stopped in to grab lunch for my kids, and Maritza and Joseline were absolutely amazing. They took the time to explain the menu, answer all my questions, and helped me choose what turned out to be the most delicious tacos we’ve ever had. The food was fresh, flavorful, and authentic. The customer service was exceptional, and their recommendations did not disappoint. Be sure to ask about the special of the day—you won’t regret it! And don’t leave without grabbing one of their turnovers. They are absolutely delicious and the perfect way to finish your meal. Highly recommended! We will definitely be back.
