We had a wonderful time at “Spice and Tonic” this evening. It was our first time here; a Father’s Day outing. We are vegetarians and everything we ordered was tasty and it was a substantial quantity. We are taking quite a bit back! We ordered the mixed veggie platter, dhal makhani, kofta masala, tandoori roti, poori and veg Biriyani. For dessert, we had a mango lassi. Shriya came around with chits in a bowl. We were asked to pick a chit to select a free Father’s Day dish that was being offered. We lucked out with icecream and got three mini scoops of malai kulfi, which was delicious. The food was good, but the service was excellent! We’d like to thank the very attentive Bikas and Deepa for their service. Keep it up and good luck!

Spice and Tonic is a very nice dine in restaurant with great ambience. The staff were extremely polite and friendly. Dipa on her first day of job did an excellent job. She was friendly, polite and had excellent customer service.

We stopped by for lunch for the first time and loved it! Shreya was very attentive and caring throughout our visit. The food was amazing, the prices were reasonable, and the service was excellent. We just wish it were closer to our place so we could come here more often!

Let me first say that if I evaluated this restaurant purely on the food, the price, and the value for money, five stars would not have been enough. The food was tasty and for the first time my dining partner found a meat-based dish with plenty of a variety of vegetables. My curry was spicy, with tender chunks of lamb. The rice was served family style and that was a nice touch. Our samosa appetizer was large and flavorful as well. The mango ice cream was by all appearances homemade and was tasty. A short selection of red- and white wines and an adequate list of beer and non alcoholic drinks rounded out a comprehensive menu. Service was solicitous, but somewhat disorganized. Our initial request for water fell through the cracks, and we had to ask again. Two follow-up requests about details of our order that were either not noted or were not ascertained initially were needed. However, the order, when delivered, was correct and we were taken good care of. These are but small blemishes that with time should not affect the overall dining experience. We had a good meal and noticed that they also had an number of food delivery pick-ups during our stay. Not a problem, just an observation that their business is bigger than the few diners present at the late hour we were there. The bill was significantly smaller than our last few meals at Indiana restaurants, for similar or better quality. This and the homely atmosphere means we will definitely be back. One issue perplexed us though - what does the "tonic" in the name refer to?
