Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Aye whoever the overnight crew was tonight was absolutely amazing! They were quick, super friendly and professional with everything and I gotta say best whataburger experience I’ve had yet!

The food was great, but on August 2, 2026, I redeemed points for a Small Peach Milkshake. I tried waiting and until my Uber came and waited for me, I just ended up asking a manager to get it for me after I showed my order on my phone. For context, the 2 cashiers are both female. One had the tips of her hair dyed blonde and either in a ponytail or in a bun and the other was all black with her hair tied into a pony. The fact that the 2 cashiers both refused to give me my order means they tried to scam me. The blonde tip haired cashier has said something like "Your order is on its way." when I saw the all black hair girl put the peach shake on the deliveries cart. She, the all black hair girl, then had the audacity to say "We didn't recieve your order." That's when I finally had it, asked the manager, who was luckily out there for me to catch him, got the shake for me after I asjed him something like "Is it okay if I get my shake on the cart?" This all relays back to the beginning of my review. This used to be a respectable Whataburger chain, until those two came in. One was named Michela, I think, and pretty sure her name begins with an M, but I forgot the name of the all black haired girl. They both look like they either just came out of high school, one was still in high school and the other looked like a college student, or something like that. Maybe they're new, so I tried to cut them some slack while I was. I don't know if they still work at this Whataburger, but I remember that there was 1 young Filipina lady and one older Filipina lady who do a way better job than the 2 cashiers with the all black hair and the blonde tips. I guess Whataburger in Trimmier would be the only solution now. Maybe in Fort Hood too, but that might be further away from where I live at.

Burger and onion rings were good. It was the teen scammer in there claiming he was scared to leave the building because people want to beat him up outside and he is real hungry. I offered to call his parents, cops or 911. He refused and asked that a meal be bought for him. I refused but he hopped over to another table and suckered them in to buying him a full meal.

We came to Texas and knew we had to try Whataburger—and it absolutely lived up to the hype! From the moment we walked in, John made our experience unforgettable. He took our order, and his customer service was hands down the best part of our visit. There’s something special about being treated so well that even if the food hadn’t been great, the experience still would have been worth it.
Thankfully, the food was amazing too! I usually don’t even eat fries, but these were so good. And the spicy ketchup… oh my goodness! I totally get why people rave about it now. And we got our food before we even finished filling up our drinks. Crazy.
Excellent food, outstanding customer service, and an all-around fantastic first Whataburger experience. John, you’re the man!
