We recently celebrated our son’s 14th birthday at Saltgrass in Grapevine. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t start off well due to very slow service from our original waitress. After waiting longer than expected, we requested a different server.
Manager Brady handled the situation exceptionally well. He listened to our concerns with professionalism, addressed everything privately, and immediately made sure our food and drinks were brought out promptly. His calm, understanding, and accommodating approach completely turned the evening around.
Our new waiter, Jerry, was outstanding! He was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the rest of our meal.
What began as a disappointing experience ended as a wonderful example of excellent customer service. We truly appreciate the way Brady and Jerry went above and beyond to ensure our son’s birthday celebration was a success. Thank you for making things right—we will definitely be back!

Riley was AMAZING! Greeted us with a smile and very attentive! The GM, Brandy, came over and checked in on us and it didn’t feel like I was something she needed to check off her list- she was very pleasant. After a long travel day, eating a good meal and having great service can really turn a bad day around!

was pleasantly surprised by my visit. The steaks were cooked perfectly medium, with great flavor, a buttery finish, and a nice exterior char. You can tell they know how to handle a steak. The service was pleasant, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations.
The only downside was the price. It's a bit more than I can justify for a regular night out, but it's definitely earned a spot on my list for special occasions when I'm craving a quality steak. I'll be back.

Excellent food and experience. I went to another location first, and it was the worst, so I came here to Grapevine, and so happy I did.
I first went to the Irving location. Ordered a fried appetizer and steak. The app was frozen so sent it back and it came back frozen again. I didn't eat it. Ordered a steak and ordered medium well and it came out rare. Ordered again and they recooked the same steak and it was still medium rare. I didn't eat it. The cook was obviously terrible at that location, so I paid for what I had and tipped and left after discussing the terrible quality of cooking with the manager. He agreed that the cook was having a hard time understanding how to provide a quality food experience.
So, I came to the Grapevine location right after leaving Irving, and ordered the exact same items. The app came out hot and well cooked, and the steak came out perfectly medium well. The sides were good and the service at the bar was excellent. They all checked on each other as well as checking on the customers often.
I thought all Saltgrass locations were the same, but obviously not. Don't go to the Irving location. Go to Grapevine. Worth the drive, quality and experience.
One other mention is that I tried the tortilla soup, and it wasn't what I would consider tortilla soup. More like loaded vegetable soup with tortilla strips. It wasn't the best steak I have ever had, but it was pretty darn close for a good price.

Today I ate here with a large group from work, I typically have a very good experience here but today was sub par at best. I usually always order steak here for obvious reasons, but I just cooked a lot of prime rib eyes last night and wanted something different today. I tossed around the idea of smothered hamburger steak, chicken fried steak, but settled on blackened red fish w/ lump crab and shrimp. I ordered that, loaded baked potato & extra order of green beans. When my plate came out, the filet of red fish was about 8-10” long and at the thickest part was maybe 3/8” thick down to 1/8” fish jerky towards the tail. I’ve never seen a red fish filet that small & thin, and was very disappointed to say the least. Did it taste ok, yes it was alright but not something I would ever order again. The salad, green beans & loaded potato were good, and they did give a good portion of green beans which was nice. But for a $35 plate of fish, it should have been 3/4” down to a 1/2”-1/4” at the tail, you guys shouldn’t serve that thin of a filet to your customers. I wouldn’t even care if it cost more, just give me a decent piece of fish for gods sake. I hope you get this corrected in the future.
