  Went twice in one week because of a scheduling snafu we decided would be funny to stick with. The Anaconda Pasta is my favorite– switch the gluten free pasta for regular if you don't like the different texture. Chicken was dry but it was an add-on. The first trip we had the flatbread which was delicious. The staff is incredibly attentive and accommodating. My partner has allergies, and the head chef actually came out to discuss which food options they could safely eat. Our second visit we asked to be sat near the elephants and got as close a seat as possible. We came ~90 mins before closing that time and while there were only a few tables remaining and staff was starting cleanup, we selfishly ordered the volcano dessert lol. They've added new toppings to it since my last visit which I actually appreciate as it breaks up the too-vast, rich chocolate-ness that was the original cake. Our server did the "volcano!" call as she was leaving the kitchen, but we were sitting a ways off. Despite other employees cleaning up, they all started bouncing the "volcano!" call off each other until the cake did arrive at our table. It felt very special and magical yet also quite human, in a way I never see outside of the likes of Disney these days. We purchased a shirt at the gift shop (not the one pictured lol) and left a hefty tip to thank them for being so kind and friendly to us. This is one of my favorite Rainforest Cafe locations, and I'll be eager to return every time I get the chance to return to DFW.

  I'd say today was probably the last time I'll ever visit Rainforest Cafe or suggest it. It was my nephews birthdays and I figured it'd be fun to take them here. The vibe here just isn't great anymore. It's almost depressing. Prices are so over the top expensive for no reason but I already knew that coming in. However when paying these bs prices I'd at least expect some great customer service and or a helpful, attentive, kind server. We definitely didn't receive that today. Yoli had a weird attitude from the start and when my nephews food order came out wrong instead of just apologizing and bringing out the right order she made sure to come by and say "well there must have been a miscommunication issue cause he definitely said fried chicken." Which he didn't btw. And even if he had why come to the table to be rude and argue? Weird. Her attitude was off the whole time. Both my sister and I looked at each other like wtf. 👀 Peoples drinks sat empty for quite some time too. Then we are barely finishing our meal and she drops off the check? I've waited tables....for years. Typically you at least ask if we need anything else? Maybe dessert ? Try and upsell considering the restaurant is mostly empty? ....It was both my nephews birthday and at that point I didn't even want to do the lava cake but they did so I told her please bring in out for their birthday. Overall I'd suggest anywhere else to take your kids. Absolutely not worth it for the price tag with mediocre food and crappy service.

  Very sad with our experience, we went to Dallas for some shopping and a trip to memory lane to revisit one of our family’s favorite spots! Got there, and we waited over an hr to get our appetizer. When our food arrived, my daughter complained her burger bun was soggy, I thought she was being dramatic until I took a bite and almost puked… it was completely wet (bottom), the top was as hard as a rock… I attempted to flag our server and made eye contact twice with her and she looked away and ignored me. I then attempted to flag someone else down only to be seen and ignored… I was pretty frustrated by then and once I finally got my servers attention (about 20min after), I asked if they tend to stay in their section, she said yes. I understand not interfering with another’s servers table but at least acknowledge and get them. Needless to say, we left disappointed and doubt we will ever come back. I Am saddened because we used to love the place but it is def not what it used to be.

  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ COLLIN IS NOT A SERVER. COLLIN IS A SAFARI LEGEND. Let me tell you something about Collin at the Rainforest Cafe in Grapevine, Texas. This woman is a straight-up badass. Best safari guide I've ever had. And I've been on exactly zero actual safaris, but I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about. Collin was fantastic. Friendly, hilarious, attentive, great with the kids, and completely unfazed by the fact that she works in a restaurant where a 12-foot gorilla periodically loses its mind and an elephant apparently has jurisdiction over the dining room. At one point, I'm pretty sure I saw Collin wrestle a gorilla. Not an animatronic gorilla. A REAL ONE. She looked that gorilla dead in the eyes and said, "Not today, Carl." Gorilla immediately apologized. Then, while still holding our drinks, Collin apparently helped an old lady cross the street, rescued three baby koalas from a burning eucalyptus tree, and negotiated a peace treaty between two rival tribes of jungle frogs. I asked if any of this was true. She just smiled. That's when I knew she was a professional. And I'm not saying she could probably find a marijuana plant somewhere in that rainforest, but if anyone could locate it, it would be Collin. Our actual experience was great. She was awesome with the kids, super friendly, and took excellent care of us. Honestly, she made the whole visit better. The Rainforest Cafe has fake animals, fake thunderstorms, fake waterfalls and fake jungle noises. Collin is the only thing in that rainforest I believe is real. Five stars. Would absolutely let her lead my next expedition. Would also trust her to parallel park my car while fighting a gorilla. Promote Collin immediately. The jungle needs a queen.

  This was my first visit, and unfortunately it will also be my last. We arrived right at 11:00 AM and were seated almost immediately since we were only about the fifth party in the restaurant. Our server, Colton, greeted us promptly, took our drink order, and we ordered appetizers and our entrees shortly after. Our appetizers arrived around 11:20 AM, and by 11:35 AM we were told our food was "almost ready." Meanwhile, the restaurant began filling up, and we watched several tables that were seated after us receive their meals before we did. As we waited, I also noticed other guests becoming frustrated. Some had been seated for quite a while before even receiving drinks, and the table next to us was discussing leaving because they had been waiting over 30 minutes with menus and drinks, but no one had even taken their order. At 11:45 AM, we were told once again that our food was "almost ready." By 12:05 PM, after waiting more than an hour, I asked Colton to bring us the check for our drinks and appetizers because we no longer wanted to wait. To his credit, he apologized sincerely and said he would notify his manager. Unfortunately, the manager never came to speak with us. Throughout our visit, I saw her casually walking around the dining room, but she never acknowledged the delay, apologized, or attempted to make the situation right. That lack of customer service was just as disappointing as the wait itself. The only thing that kept our kids entertained was the famous thunderstorm show that goes off every 30 minutes. Ironically, we got to experience it twice while waiting for our food. At 12:10 PM, our meals finally arrived—but by then, we were still waiting on the check and had completely lost our appetite. I ordered the lasagna, my wife had the chicken, and our kids had burgers and fries. Unfortunately, the food did not justify the wait. It was disappointing across the board. The restaurant clearly needs to review its kitchen processes and, more importantly, how management handles customer service when things go wrong. Delays happen, but ignoring guests who have been waiting over an hour is unacceptable. In hindsight, we would have had a much better experience taking the family to Chick-fil-A.
