As someone who also works in retail/customer service, I try to be understanding about staffing and labor, especially with weather and slow business affecting hours. But this Sonic seriously always seems to have only ONE carhop working, and it’s honestly not okay. I understand companies want to “watch labor,” but there’s a difference between saving hours and overworking employees to the point where service suffers and workers look stressed out every single time.
Coming from another worker, when weather gets bad or business slows down, managers usually try to schedule enough people while still balancing costs. You keep your more expensive workers for mid-day rushes or closing shifts and work around labor that way. But having one person running orders, drinks, checking on customers, and dealing with everything at once is unfair to both the workers and customers.
This review isn’t even meant to attack the employees because they’re clearly trying their best. The issue feels more management/corporate related than anything. The workers are usually nice, but you can tell they’re overwhelmed. Wait times end up longer, mistakes happen more often, and honestly it just creates unnecessary stress for everyone involved.
I hope management starts scheduling better because no employee should constantly be left handling an entire rush by themselves.

Terrible service. Waited for my food and didn’t get it. Waisted half of my lunch time waiting and the order was removed from my screen. Never going back

We ordered a burrito with no cheese. Omar brought it to us and wouldn't speak to me. No, here is your food, your total is this much, have a good day, nothing. I buzzed back because the order was wrong. On the ticket was right, just made wrong. He told me to hold on... Ok. He brought me the correct food and I tried handing him back the wrong order. I said you don't want it and he just shook his head no. Just very unprofessional. Not sure why he was refusing to speak.
