I planned a company event at Main Event for our team and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish.
We had a reservation for bowling, but upon arrival we were told our reserved lanes still needed to be cleaned because several school field trips had just ended. That was fine but we were on a time clock so I asked for an estimated wait time since I had 25 employees waiting and wanted to keep everyone informed, but staff refused to provide any ETA at all. We ended up waiting about 20 minutes past our reservation time before we could begin. If this had been the only thing it would not have been a big deal.
Once we finally started bowling, several of our lanes repeatedly malfunctioned, constantly pausing games. Every time there was an issue, we had to go find an employee ourselves because no one was proactively checking on us. Despite seeing multiple employees standing around, it often took a long time to get assistance. These instances would take anywhere from 15 to 25 minutes before they were resolved. After the lanes broke down numerous times, we eventually gave up trying to finish our games altogether, even though we were trying to determine a winning team, having a fun friendly competition. We spent around $600 on bowling alone so this is where most of the frustration came from.
The service throughout the evening was equally frustrating. Some drinks we ordered never arrived, and others were incorrect. In an attempt to salvage the experience for my team we tried to use some of the money we had already spent on additional games toward the ropes course, only to be told it was closed with no explanation provided. Yet there were multiple employees standing around
seemingly capable of accommodating or at minimum providing a better explanation as to why we couldn’t use the course.
At that point, I asked to speak with a manager regarding the experience and the amount of money we had spent. Shockingly, staff repeatedly refused to get a manager unless I explained in detail why I wanted to speak with them — even after I had already explained my concerns.
My company closed for the day at a significant expense in lost revenue by closing specifically to treat our team to a fun outing, and we spent nearly $1,000 at Main Event. Between the lack of customer service, malfunctioning lanes, dirty bathrooms, missing orders, and refusal to involve management, the experience was incredibly disappointing.
If the facility had been very busy or understaffed, I would have been more understanding. What made this especially frustrating was seeing employees standing around while guests were left waiting and issues went unresolved. Overall, this was not the experience we expected for a planned company event and will definitely not return next time.

The games here were so fun. I came here with friends and we ordered pretzels, a shake, and a shirly temple. We ordered at 12:00 and had to ask repeatedly about our food and only got it at 1:25. The reason we didn't find our food is because someone stole part of our order and they never send us the message saying our food was ready even though they said they would as soon as it was done. The person working cursed us out when we asked if our order was ready or not, saying that we should just take whatever we wanted with very foul language. The only reason my friend got her drink was because of one person making the drinks, when my friend asked she went ahead and made it for her since she had no orders. The experience other than the food was wonderful, though it was quite expensive and you could find all the games really anywhere else for cheeper.I hope that next time we come here, if we ever return, is the service people are nicer.

We recently had our daughter's birthday here. We've been here several times since we don't live far, but never had a party. We purchased the "main event" package which included bowling, laser tag, and gravity rope plus the game card and pizza with drinks. From start to finish, it lasted about three hours. We had about 15 kids and the cost came out to about $575 after taxes, service charge and gratuity. Katelyn/Caitlin was our party host. She was helpful and attentive. (The only thing I don't like about places like this, is that it could be really hard to hear with all the noise.) I do appreciate the communication from booking to party date. We did have a bunch of gift cards and it was my mistake for not reading the fine print correctly. You can't use it for birthday parties that's confirmed booking. It said corporate events/group bookings and "group bookings" falls under birthday packages. We'll just have a bunch of gift cards to use at a later date.
The party started with bowling for one hour and I didn't even realize until halfway through that the kids weren't wearing bowling shoes. Another parent pointed it out. Our two year old kept us busy. After bowling, they ate and did cake/gifts. Then they did laser tag followed by gravity ropes. Game cards came last. Tables were cleaned up during gravity ropes. They did assist with setting up and cleaning up. The kids had fun so no complaints there. I will say we did a party at home for our other kids beginning of the year and the whole class showed up and they all had a blast (but it was exhausting too) so whether we were spending next to nothing to close to $600, as long as the kids had fun, is all it matters.
My only other issue was that they used to have these tokens you win at the arcade area and you'd redeem them for tickets. This was a couple of years ago. Anyway, the machine wasn't working so the person working said to just save it for when we return. Yeah. They eventually got rid of those tokens and we had a bunch of yellow/blue main event tokens/coins.

Go find another place to spend your money. You can't find an employee older than 20. So when there is an issue, nobody knows what to do. Customer service for the most part sucks. Teenagers don't seem to know how to even smile. You are there for them it seems. If you go to there restaurant, you can't find a place to sit because the tables aren't cleared off. Then we you sit down, nobody serves you.
This was a Saturday night experience. Supervisors must take that night off.
Alley cats offers the same entertainment and is operated much better.

First time going to a Main Event location to get a quick bite to eat. Seating was confusing, and we had to wait for help to get a waiter/waitress. Once we got a waitress, they were very friendly but the service was lackluster. We had to wait for a while for our food. When it had arrived, the lady who brought it had forgotten to get the sides/sauces the food items were supposed to come with, and only ended up getting one of them, and her attitude was off-putting and antisocial. They also forgot plates and utensils. When our main waitress came back, we had to tell her that they forgot to bring the plates and sides. She apologized, and brought plates back after a couple of minutes, however, she only brought 1/3 of the sauces, meaning we only got 2 of 3 sauces for the food we ordered. Later she came back and offered refills for our drinks that were about to run out and we of course said yes, however, she only got one of our drinks and forgot mine, which had completely run out. We had to go over by the kitchen where several of the employees were talking half the time and seemingly not paying attention to their customers and ask for a refill, which was awkward and annoying. Overall, the service was slow and disappointing (but the food was very good); I had thought that it would live up to its high rating, but unfortunately, it fell way short. Probably won’t be back at this specific location again.
