Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

- PPPKG1 day ago5.0I have visited more Whataburger locations than I can count and in mu humble opinion this one ranks up there near the top of the list. As of October 14, 2026 it's only been about a month since I began visiting so I can not vouch for anything before then. The food is what it needs to be. The people there know what they're doing and from everything I can tell they're doing it well. Two things won me over. The first one occurred after I finished my meal and I was dumping mu tray and getting ready to walk out and from behind me i hear "Do you like shakes?" I turn around and before I could answer he asks "do you want this one? It's vanilla," "sure" "here you go, enjoy!" Obviously the shake for whatever reason was "extra" and that this kind of thing is a common practice but these things don't happen to me so it made my day. During a different visit I was ran in to pick up my online order and to my shock and horror my car was locked with keys, wallet, and phone all locked inside... tbc
