The food is quite good. They have all the standards, as well as some house specialties. However, the prices are just a bit high for what you get. This is an unfortunate situation I've noted in several other reviews--costs are way up and no industry is spared. Nevertheless, it makes it more difficult to find restaurants that are capable of offering true value, these days.

Best Indian food in Dallas. I've been eating regularly here for the last couple of years.

This one of my favorite Indian restaurants. Food is delicious and service is friendly.

Food was flavorful and well-prepared, but the overall experience was disappointing due to the long wait time. We waited over 50 minutes for our food, even though the restaurant was empty when we arrived. Two groups came in after us and were served before we were, which was frustrating.
In terms of pricing, I found it high relative to the portion sizes. The tandoori chicken was tasty, but it came as four small pieces, which felt insufficient for a $17 dish. The butter chicken was also good, but again, the portion was on the smaller side.
I’ve been to many Indian and Pakistani restaurants, and while this place has a unique flavor profile that I appreciated, the value doesn’t quite match the price. Increasing portion sizes would make a big difference. We were two people, ordered three dishes, and it was barely enough.
This is my second time here. My first visit was a 10/10 experience all around, so I came back excited , and the food was just as amazing as I remembered. Unfortunately, the experience took a turn when I tried one of their new drinks. It wasn’t for me at all; it was so difficult to drink that I couldn’t get past the first sip.
My server was incredibly sweet and understanding and asked the chef if I could swap it for another drink from the new menu (the mint lemonade). She came back letting me know the chef said I’d have to pay for both the mint lemonade AND the jaljari drink I’d barely touched. As someone who has worked in the service industry, that told me the chef prioritizes moving new menu items over customer satisfaction. Why would I pay $8 for a drink I physically cannot finish?
To her credit, my server did her best , she even cut the drink with sprite to tone down the saltiness, which helped a little, but I still couldn’t get through a quarter of the glass.
Another issue worth noting: the drink menu has no descriptions or flavor profiles listed. I was told the jaljari drink after I ordered it was naturally a salty drink therefore there was nothing wrong with it so nothing could be done. How are customers supposed to know what they’re ordering? If the menu had described the taste and ingredients, I could have made a more informed choice. And if the chef wasn’t willing to swap the drink, the least they could have done was offer a discount on it not charge full price for something a customer couldn’t drink.
Customer experience is foundational, especially for a local eatery that depends on community support. Great servers, not so costumer service friendly chef.
