  We had an incredible dining experience at Willie G’s Seafood in Galveston, especially since we were able to bring our puppy! Sitting outside on the covered patio right on Pier 21 gave us breathtaking sunset views over the harbor and the historic tall ship Elissa. Our waitress, Cody, was absolutely amazing she took such good care of us from the moment we sat down and immediately brought out a fresh bowl of ice water for our pup. We kicked off our meal with the warm, rich seafood dip with crisp tortilla chips and some refreshing craft cocktails, followed by an incredible steak topped with crawfish tails, jumbo shrimp, creamy mashed potatoes, and grilled asparagus. Between Cody’s thoughtful hospitality, the delicious food, and the gorgeous waterfront view, Willie G's gave us a five-star evening that we can't wait to repeat!

  Willie G's never fails !!! always creating a long lasting memory for myself and my family. Every time we go. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing. I love sitting outside, watching the sunset, the boats and the dolphins go by. Absolutely stunning scenery. The food is always amazing. I love a lobster tail with a salad and that hot seafood dip . chefs kiss !!! the service is always amazing very friendly. No matter what bartender is there I know my drinks will be full and delicious. That Dubai cheesecake phenomenal if I had more space I would eat it every time I had dinner there. It's so hard to put into words the luxury I feel while dining . Douglas was our server last night 💗😄 I had to get a second lobster tail. They were so good.

  We were so bummed. Have been a customer for years. From the time we stepped inside the smell of old seafood hit us. We sat at the bar for drinks and it smelled like moldy soggy beer at a cheap bar. Drinks were subpar, regular ice in the old fashions, warm martini glasses, and no service. We sat with empty glasses, no apps, etc. Only 3 tables of people! Just Hope it gets better!

  I thought this was a nicer place than it was. This place needs to be deeply sanitized. We sat at the bar, there was a man who had a dog. The dogs paws were on the bar. The dog started eating off of the man’s plate. I am not a dog person, and I don’t mind if people are. But that was deeply disturbing. And then the man that was sitting next to him. Had blood spewing out of his arms, and he was placing his arms on the bar and blood was just getting everywhere. He needed Band-Aids he needed to go clean himself up or something. Then the bartender just grabbed the rag that he uses to clean the entire bar and clean that area. So basically all the blood, and all the dog fecal matter and everything that’s on that dog paws, was just all over that bar. Again, please. Lean sanitizer and bleach this bar!!! And the staff needs to be more assertive with hazards.

  We had a very aggressive server named JJ at Willie G‘s in Galveston. He rarely checked on us, so we went most of the meal without things we needed (ie, refilled drinks, etc). When we were finished eating, we waited and waited, but he never came around, so I had to go inside and find him. I told him that we were in a hurry to try and catch a show and that we needed our bill and 3 to-go boxes. He then came to our table with the to-go boxes in hand, but no bill. He told us that he was needing 4 reviews to meet some sort of expectation at work and if the 3 of us posted reviews, that would leave him with only one more. He literally took all three of our phones out of our hands, pulled up Google reviews, gave himself five stars, put his name in the notes field and asked us to finish the sentence regarding our experience. I was appalled. I had clearly told him that we were in a hurry, and he still hadn't given us the bill we asked for. He was more concerned about his reviews. My biggest disappointment of the night was that he never entered my Landry Select Number, so I got no points for the visit. I had tried to give him my LSC card earlier in the meal, but he told me that he would enter it at the end. However, at the end of the meal, we were in a hurry and he had too much going on posting "our" reviews for himself that that he never entered my number. To be clear, I have no complaints about the restaurant itselt. The food was great and so was the atmosphere. We just got stuck with a self-seeking server, and the best thing I can say about him was that he brought me this styrofoam box.
