  JJ did an outstanding job taking care of our family during dinner. He made sure the kids received their meals first, checked on us frequently, and kept our drinks refilled throughout the evening. His attentiveness and friendly service made our experience even more enjoyable. As for the food, the crab cake dinner is absolutely worth ordering—delicious and one of the highlights of the meal.

  So the place looks great and fancy, stopped bc it was near the dolphin tours boat. We ordered, and we couldn’t eat bc the tour was starting at 145. Food was about to come out. Our waiter Douglas and another, put our orders to go, held it until after our tour. Food was still warm, ate in the car. The food was great!!! Full tummy’s and kid friendly menu. I’d go back for the staff and atmosphere. Thanks Willie G’s!

  I went in for a steak and a quiet spot to record a podcast episode, walked out a regular in the making. JJ was my server and he was an absolute gem — recommended a steak that was like butta, no notes. The espresso martinis? Chef's kiss. Ended up staying longer than planned just to soak in the vibe while I worked. Great food, great service, great energy. Will definitely be back. Amazing place with easy parking. internet on my att was working amazing. Just a great place all around wish i took pictures.

  My husband and I visited Galveston to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Before deciding where we wanted to eat, we stopped in for a beer and a glass of wine and sat at the bar. While we were there, the bartender accidentally opened a bottle of Prosecco (or another sparkling wine), and it sprayed all over my husband, me, and the couple sitting next to us. Accidents happen, and at first, we actually laughed it off. What completely changed the situation was what happened next. Without acknowledging what had just happened or offering so much as a simple apology, the bartender proceeded to open another bottle while pointing it in our direction again. It sprayed all of us a second time. My phone was soaked in sticky sparkling wine, it was in my hair, all over my husband, and all over his glasses. Even after the second incident, there was still no apology or acknowledgment. Instead, she walked around the bar, squeezed between me and the gentleman next to us, began wiping down the counter, and then made comments to the other customer about me being upset, saying something along the lines of, “The woman next to you is mad.” I explained to her that I wasn’t upset about the accident itself—I was upset by the complete lack of accountability, remorse, or even a simple “I’m sorry.” That would have been enough. Instead, she chose to talk negatively about me to another patron rather than address the situation professionally. I admit that I eventually responded with words I probably shouldn’t have used because I was incredibly frustrated by how disrespectfully the situation was handled. I also spoke with the hostess and later called to report the incident to a manager. Unfortunately, this experience completely overshadowed what was supposed to be a special anniversary outing. Accidents happen, but customer service is about how you respond when they do. A sincere apology costs nothing, and this bartender’s lack of professionalism and accountability ensured that we will not be returning.

  Went to this place after visiting Katie’s earlier in the week and I cannot speak more truth when I say that Willy G’s is everything we wished we had from Katie’s. Way chiller atmosphere where you could actually hear someone talking across the table, amazing service from Gianni, incredible food, the list goes on and on. And what’s better, it was cheaper than what we paid at Katie’s, which is especially crazy cause the place had a way more upscale vibe!!! Give this place a try if you’re lucky enough to be local or just visiting like us :)
