  Only get 1 star because 0 star option isn't available. We're on vacation trying to find a pharmacy that can fill my son's prescription. Medication is uncommon and has to be sent direct from the pediatrician, so we have to confirm its in-stock before the script is sent. Randalls company policy is incongruous with industry standard, refusing to identify if a medication is in-stock. Options are: send the script and find out later if its backorder (pediatrician then has to rescind the script to send it elsewhere), or inconvenience the pediatrician to call the pharmacy to see if its in-stock. Terrible policy, 0 stars earnee.

  Prices are higher compared to other grocers. That's not the most frustrating thing though. Their locking carts that lock up when you are leaving are the most frustrating thing ever. When I am picking up a delivery order and I pass through the checkout line, then walk through the door, the cart inevitably locks up. It has done this with my toddlers in the cart as well nearly tossing them from the cart. (I have 2 toddlers so I only 1 can sit in the seat and they do not provide double seat carts). I have always been told by store employees just to pass through any checkout lane whether occupied or not and sometimes that prevents the carts from locking up, but now I have to only pass through checkout lanes with an associate present which means waiting in line behind other customers that are checking out when I do not need to checkout the order. When these carts lock abruptly, it isn't gentle. I understand the need for loss prevention within a store, but these baskets are inconvenient and honestly I don't see someone walking out with a cart full of free stuff. If someone is going to steal, a locking cart isn't going to stop them. The only people you are causing inconvenience and harm to are the paying customers and the people delivering your orders

  Absolutely crap Pharmacy! Have no idea what they are doing. One person promises one thing and another will say something else. I was told to send a paper from my doctor because they needed it for the file was all and then they would approve and release my medicine. So I jumped through hoops to get it to them and when they finally had it they just said "no we aren't filling it". No regard for patients. Even admitted it had nothing to do with my health being at risk, but their own decision and it was final. Wasted days of my time when I needed the meds days prior. Don't know why they even asked for the paper to begin with just to be nosey I guess.

  Randall’s has been my go-to pharmacy for more than a decade, first the Midtown location on Louisiana Street and now the one in Galveston, located on Central City Blvd. And I have to say, the Galveston staff has impressed me even more than those of the former. Everyone is always exceptionally courteous, professionaI and kind. Service is always quick, and I always leave with everything I need. I especially appreciate Tierra — who has such a friendly, above-and-beyond helpful demeanor and five-star smile!!
