Located by the Historic Strand District, the Tall Ship Elissa and Galveston Cruise Terminal, come and enjoy waterfront dining at Fisherman’s Wharf. One of the best seafood restaurants in Galveston, Fisherman’s Wharf is a great place to enjoy a selection of daily fresh fish, signature combination platters, and more in our indoor dining areas or outdoor patio offering a view of the bay.
Had an amazing experience at Fisherman’s Wharf tonight! The calamari was pretty good, the batter itself was lacking a bit in flavor, the ranch definitely helped out in that department but it was perfectly crispy and cooked just right. Definitely a must try if you come here.
What really made the night even better was my server, Lillian. She was incredibly friendly, helpful, attentive, and made me feel genuinely welcomed from the moment I sat down. She stayed on top of everything and had such a great attitude. Amazing food and even better service, i’ll definitely be coming back!

If I could give zero stars, I would. After a ridiculous one-hour wait for our food, the nightmare continued: I found a bug in my meal. When I called the manager over, expecting a standard apology and for the dish to be taken off the bill, I received a bizarre lecture instead. The manager seriously told me it was a "grass bug" and that in many countries people eat them fried, implying it was no big deal. I am paying and waiting an hour for standard food, not a surprise survivalist challenge. It is completely unacceptable for a restaurant to have such terrible service and poor hygiene, but it’s even worse to have a manager who treats customers with such blatant disrespect and zero accountability. Avoid this place at all costs.

I know service animalis are supposed to be allowed in restaurants, but that's not always the case when he's 100lbs. I was meeting a group of family and friends at Fisherman's Wharf in Galveston, TX for dinner. Reaper and I walked into the restaurant and I asked where my group was and if Reaper, my service dog, would be OK. The staff member not only said yes he was, but took us to the table and told me to have the waiter get Reaper a bowl of water because of how warm it was. Reaper automatically laid down at my side and was given a bowl of ice water... actually it was more like 3.
I can't eat much because of major stomach surgery, so my husband asked if they had ala carte. They added an extra piece of fish to my husband's fish and chips, and never charges us for it. To say three staff was phenomenal would be an understatement. Our group ended up leaving almost $200 in tips.
Later during dinner, I noticed a little white fluff ball at another table. Talking with another patron, she had brought her Boston Terrier with her one time, and they seated her right away. Fisherman's Wharf is amazing and I will definitely go back!!

What initially drew us in was the Google ad, the promise of free parking for the first three hours, and the overall appeal of the location. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations.
The wait to be seated was longer than anticipated, and once seated, service felt disconnected. Our waiter seemed to be operating on his own timeline, which made ordering drinks and food more drawn out than it should have been.
The menu could definitely use more variety, especially when it comes to appetizers and main entrées. As for the food itself, it was disappointing. The redfish portion was the smallest I’ve seen, and the mahi-mahi was subpar, with questionable freshness on both dishes.
Drinks were also underwhelming—watered down despite ordering multiple adult beverages.
During our visit, it appeared staff were dealing with issues at another table where food (particularly steak) was not prepared correctly, and the situation seemed to create visible stress among the team. That may have contributed to the overall experience, but it still impacted service.
By the time we were waiting on appetizers, I was already considering nearby options for dinner. We chose to stay, but in hindsight, we both agreed we won’t be returning on our next trip to Galveston.

We had the most amazing waitress ever named Summer, she was incredibly patient and very knowledgeable about the specials and the menu along with double checking any preferences or allergies. We were particularly impressed with how she assisted one member of our party who is Deaf and is not familiar with seafood and Summer was an expert in communication and was able to clarify exactly what every item on the menu was. Aside from the phenomenal service the food was amazing as well. The Fettuccine Alfredo and Beer Battered Fish & Chips in particular were our favorite. The Alfredo was the most flavorful Alfredo I've ever had in my life and had a side portion option without the extras for more picky guests. The fish and chips were juicy, flakey, and crispy- better than any fish and chips I've had in Galveston to date. 10/10 would absolutely recommend, make a reservation as I doubt this place would ever be slow.
