Took my wife for our 24th wedding anniversary dinner, we were excited to dine there for we had never been. We got to the hosting area and the experience immediately started going down hill. They didn't seem to be very enthused with our presence. They sat us inside in a corner table. The view was blocked by some kind of curtain. The table had 4 plates and silverware, they left all four plates there when we were only two. Our waitress was at best average. We seemed to be a nuisance to her, she ghosted our table and never asked if we wanted a refill on our drinks. Although her service was not very good, she still got an 20% tip on a $120 bill for 2 so called cocktails, 6 dried up shrimp over ice and a side of ketchup, the fried platter and a salad. My plate was over fried and it tasted like they used old oil. Very disappointed, didn't feel welcomed, food was bland, nasty and way overpriced. Will definitely not be coming back to this place ever.

Grilled shrimp were over cooked, and like jerky, seasoned rice under cooked/hard texture, and grilled vegetables consisted of only steamed, not grilled, squash. Poorboy shrimp sandwich was awful. Shrimp ok, bun had terrible no flavor and rock hard. Fries over seasoned. For an historical icon in Galveston, worst food I ever had! Will never set foot there again! Also, have never been to a restaurant where their happy hour drink specials couldn't be ordered in the dining room. You had to sit in another section of the resturant to get bar specials. This was a horrible experience!

PARKING PROBLEMS! The food and service at Fisherman’s Wharf were very good, but customers need to be aware of the confusing parking situation. On Friday, August 14, I stopped in to pick up a to-go order. I didn’t see any designated parking for customers picking up orders, so I used the nearby Metropolis lot after seeing the Fisherman’s Wharf sign advertising FREE PARKING for up to 3 hours. I entered my vehicle and payment information, including my license plate. When I left, the system indicated that I was all done and should simply drive out. I have used other camera/license-plate parking systems that work this way, so I had no reason to think I needed to do anything else. I later discovered I had been charged $8.57 for only 29 minutes of parking. Only after calling Fisherman’s Wharf did I learn that customers must validate their parking inside the restaurant before leaving the lot. By then it was too late, and Metropolis refused to refund the charge, even while acknowledging in writing that the validation process “may not have been clear.” The parking experience was unnecessarily confusing and, in my experience, misleading. If Fisherman’s Wharf advertises three hours of free parking, the requirement to validate inside the restaurant should be displayed clearly and prominently, not something a first-time customer discovers after being charged. Fisherman’s Wharf should also consider providing a few clearly marked spaces for quick to-go pickups. I enjoyed the food and received good service, but the parking situation really needs to be improved so other customers don’t have the same experience.

Fisherman’s Wharf is such a fun place to eat when you’re in Galveston! 🌊⚓️ You really can’t beat being right on the water with views of the harbor and all the activity around the Strand area. The atmosphere is casual and very “Galveston,” making it a great stop whether you’re visiting the island, heading out on a cruise, or just spending the day near the waterfront. The seafood was delicious, the portions were good, and we really enjoyed the whole experience. One of my favorite things is the location—you’re right by the cruise ships, which makes it especially fun if you love cruising as much as I do! 🚢❤️ Definitely a spot I’d recommend adding to your Galveston list! 📍 Fisherman’s Wharf | Galveston, Texas 🌊 Waterfront dining 🦐 Seafood 🚢 Great location near the cruise terminals

Hamburger was pretty good.... Poor boy pretty good..... Coconut shrimp overcooked not good.... Captains catch... This Is what I got trash.... Got the stuff shrimp..... Cold on the inside and tasted fishing.... Also had the oysters , very tiny and burnt crispy.... I wish someone would come by and ask me what I thought about the food..... If i'm paying over a hundred dollars for a meal , it should be at least fifty percent..... I'm guaranteed one thing this ain't no captain Tom's where you got something that's fresh and delicious.... I very rarely ever leave a negative review on food..... Open the league Galveston, with some positive vibes.Sadly disappointed..... If you're going for a view of a couple of ships and some nice decoration , a great place to be..... But if you enjoyed really well cooked seafood , I don't think this is the place..... Yes , over a hundred dollars for 2 adults and two kids..... By twelve year old son got, the shrimp , poor boy , that was a really nice poor boy , I wish , I got something half that good..... Oh, yes.our waitress said we're going to bring you some bread-and-butter, but there was never no bread .She looked like she didn't even like to wait on us.... Maybe she was having a bad day..... But when you're playing for a luxury meal , then you should get a little better treatment..... I said the table would out water in my glass for at least 10 minutes.Almost , what's the bar to go get me something to drink when she seen me picking to get up shooting , kind of scurried over there to bring some water..... Really wasn't pleased with the service at all..... Bad news is winter's coming. The tourist traffic is not going to be there. They're going to really have to step up and try to do a little bit better job......
