It brings me no pleasure in writing this review, but it's time to say something. Bare with me on this story, it'slong, but the context is important to the review. Yesterday I was waiting for my truck to be repaired in Malvern, AR and decided to have lunch at the Arby's attached to the Love's truck stop. If you read my review of that location, know I stand firm on how incredible that Arby's was. Well, I get home today and tell my wife I had Arby's for lunch yesterday and how fantastic it was. So naturally what does she want? Arby's. So off I go to buy lunch for the household. This location in Alliance, TX is the most accessible location for me being right off I35W. When I arrived, who's there to NOT greet me? Dale - this employee has nearly caused me and my family to stop going to Arby's completely. He has consistently messed up our orders in the past, swapping out regular roast beef sandwiches for beef n cheddar on our prior visit, before that handing me my order with half the order missing. If you try to correct Dale and point out his mistakes, it's always the same reaction, that it was my fault. Today was no different. Again, Dale couldn't be bothered to acknowledge me standing at the counter with my daughter for 5 minutes while he fumbled assembling a 2 meal dine in order. After 5 minutes, the lady working the drive through walked around the corner and was the first to acknowledge us. I can see through the window that theirs 2 cars in the drive through that she's working, and yet she's the one who acknowledged us (strike 1). After she confirmed our online order through the ap, she let Dale know we were there. When I placed the order on the ap, it said it would be ready for pickup within 5 minutes. It's a 10 minute drive from my house to this location. Was any of our food ready? Of course not. So the next 10 minutes we get to watch Dale try to mess up the order again yelling out wrong instructions to the guy in the back making the order. THANKFULLY the lady working the drive through corrected him every time he did something wrong before I had to (while she worked her drive through orders). Come time for Dale to hand us order, and I what I get from Dale is "I think that's everything, if not, oh well". (Strike 2). So I tell my daughter to walk around the corner so I can verify that we have everything. Behold, I'm short two sandwiches- no surprise. I tell my daughter to wait there while I go back to the counter to let Dale know. Just as I was about to round the corner, here comes the lady from the drive through apologizing that he forgot two of our sandwiches. I let her know that yes I was short two sandwiches. So here I am waiting again, and what is Dale doing? First, he didn't even recognize me and asked if I was a drive through customer. I had to remind him that I just picked up my order 30 seconds ago. What does he do? The immediate accusation that I was wrong, but again, the lady at the drive through cut him off and told him she was taking care of me. Bonus time - while the cook is preparing our two missed sandwiches, here goes Dale bagging up two random wrong sandwiches to try and hand it to me. Again - the drive through lady sees what he's about to do and stops him. She turns to me and quietly lips to me "I am so sorry", I give her the its okay and thank you gesture back. When the line cook finishes our sandwiches, she runs to the back to grab my missing sandwiches herself, and walks it to me herself. LONG story short... it's time for Dale to seek other employment. His behavior is clearly uncorrectable, and his coworkers are overwhelming tired of his performance. Why did I bring up Malvern in the beginning? Because I'm begging Arby's corporate to bring that management staff to this location to show them how to run a proper Arby's. This location sits between a major artery highway, a busy airport, a major warehouse district down the street, and no major competition within 1 square mile in any direction. This location should be booming, but I'm typing this review while cleaning my shoes from the pop covered floor.
