I frequently shop at HEB and purchased True Texas BBQ ribs in the store section of HEB at Frisco on University, previously, and they were delicious, I wanted to order take out from the restaurant. I regret that desire. Today, I ordered 1 slab of ribs, 1lb of fatty brisket, 3 pieces of sausage, 1 large potato salad and 2 large greens, some cornbread. The total price was 150.93 take out. I'm in tears. During tough economic times this was a splurge and the price would be understandable if it was commensurate with what I got home with. The cut full rack of ribs was small, dry and mostly bones. The brisket was good but the pound was more like a half pound. The ribs consisted of very little dry meat on each bone and the sauce was not in the sack. The sausage was dry and enough for one sandwich. Again, no sauce. They gave 6 slices of white bread for the total order. The potato salad at 15.00 for a large was not authentic, mostly tasted of sour cream, thinly sliced potatoes and dill pickles. The greens are pretty good. 2 large for 30.00. And 3 pieces of cornbread for 10.47 was, well... cornbread. The only thing I would ever get again are the greens at 30. 00 for 2 large. I'm so disappointed. I'd go anywhere but here...Tender, Dickey's. We are elderly, disabled...money is short. Perhaps I should have checked the bag before leaving but everything is paid for in advance. 150. 93 will not even feed 3 people tonight.

I ordered at the register, asked for my brisket thin cut and to be put all in one container. There was another with the same name also waiting. So we both went up when the name was called as she was seated. The first order was hers. My name was called shortly after. I asked the employee a question about my order. He asked what the name was on the order, I told him. He pushed the bag towards me and walked off. Rude, ridiculous and disrespectful employees should NOT be the norm in this day and age. Not to mention the brisket wasn't even sliced thin. I got 2lbs of brisket which ended up being 6 slices for $65 bucks. What a rip off.

A total disservice to Texas BBQ and 100% does NOT live up to its name. I ordered a chopped beef sandwich and added the 1.5oz (small portion) beans. The meat was not tender and had no flavor (not even pepper), although the sauce I had to add was pretty good. The beans were served in a mushy sauce and simply were not that good either - glad I hadn't tried to get a bigger portion. I was not expecting anything over the top, but even a Buc-ees sandwich is better than this. Now I can see why that meal was only $9. The service lady was helpful and food was delivered fast. That's really the only reason for 2 stars. I would not go back.

The staff here is so kind, they make your day! We had a great dinner this evening that hit the spot. The gentleman who was at the front counter was a blessing, I am so grateful for kind people like him. We look forward to eating here again.

1st time trying and my chopped beef sandwich was full of dried up hard slivers of brisket that cut my gums up on 1st bite. They were out if potato salad and didn't have coleslaw. I won't be going back to waste my money again. I really expected better.
