I picked up a grocery order, got home, and realized a few items were missing from the bags. Not substitutes — just not there. I called the store to ask if they could check if the items were still there and I said I would literally just drive back up there to get them if they were. No refund request. No delivery. Just let me come grab what I already paid for.
I got transferred to Manager. From the second she answered, she had an attitude. I explained what happened and before I could even finish she cut me off and said "our pickers don't usually miss things" — basically calling me a liar. I said I wasn't accusing anyone, just asking if the items were still there.I asked if there was someone else I could talk to and she said "no" and hung up.
I didn't raise my voice. I wasn't rude. I offered to drive back to the store to make it easy on them. She still treated me like I was making the whole thing up.

I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience at Tom Thumb’s floral department and am requesting corporate review of this situation.
My daughter purchased birthday flowers for me totaling $119.99+ taxes. In less than 24 hours, the flowers were already wilting and dying, indicating poor quality at the time of sale. I returned to the store with proof of purchase expecting a standard resolution.
Instead, employees (identified as Negin and Leyla) discarded the original arrangement without my consent and refused to return it to me preventing me from seeking a return or exchange at the original purchase location within the same company. The replacement arrangement provided was of even lower quality.
I was then denied a refund and told my only option was to dispute the charge with my bank due to the purchase being made at a different location. This response is unacceptable, as it shifts responsibility to the customer rather than resolving a clear product quality issue.
I have included a photo of the replacement arrangement as documentation.
I am requesting that corporate management review this incident, address the handling of this situation, and provide an appropriate resolution. Based on this experience, I DO NOT recommend this floral department.

Came in earlier and realized after I got home that one of my bags got left behind at the checkout counter. I still had my receipt showing I paid for everything. I called the store to see if it was still there so I could come grab it.
Manager Tammy answered. I politely explained the situation and she immediately had an attitude. She said "well you should have checked before you left" in this really nasty tone. I told her I understood but just wanted to know if the bag was still there. She said "not saying you're lying but people say this all the time."
I never raised my voice or disrespected her. I just wanted to know if I could pick up my bag. She made me feel like a criminal over something that cost maybe $10.
I will never shop here again. I will literally drive 30 minutes to the next Tom Thumb just to avoid this one. Tammy should not be managing anything.

This is the closest grocery store to my house. I used their app for online shopping for about a year and on several occasions I would mark on the app that I was on my way around 8pm just to get there and have to wait 15-20 min and no one on sight to bring the order. I would have to call (repeatedly) or go inside, find a competent employee to get the groceries…OK, it happens, I would chalk it up to the store not being well staffed, and kept shopping here, despite their prices being higher than HEB, Walmart and Target.
Then one night at 8:15, I check in the app that Ian on my way, checked in enter the parking spot # and no one again. I called and called and finally an employee answered, told me that “the online order closes at 8pm. What? So I said, the store closes at 10pm, and furthermore when I click that I’m on my way on the app, no message about the online order service being closed popped up, to what he says “that’s not my problem”… eeeh OK?
Called the next day to talk to a manager,, because this has happened more times than I should have tolerated, and I needed an answer. Guy that answers says the manager is busy but he’s the assistant manager. So I start to explain and he keeps interrupting saying “I know who the person who answer the phone was, he shouldn’t have said this” -seemed he was more interested in getting onto this employee which was not my point; I just needed to know 1. are you open or not. 2. If you’re not open, for the love of everything make the app say that. He says: “..its open, just call and we’ll bring you your order”. Well that’s what I did, but I just can’t deal with this ambiguity anymore, so I asked for the order to be canceled and instead of doing anything, ANYTHING to keep my business, he is like “Sure, let me transfer you”.
And that’s the story of how I stopped spending $150 a week at this Tom Thumb and moved my business to HEB who so far has never sold me expired, spoiled or molded produce or products.
