  Totally overhyped. I tried the weekend thali and found it below average—over half of the items simply didn't taste good. Even the rice was a letdown, using low-quality, thin, broken grains. Other dishes on the menu might be fine, but a single visit was all I needed to decide not to come back. Given how mediocre the meal was, I really don't get where all the high ratings.

  Had a great experience here! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Our server, Siri, was super friendly and attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The Malabar Parotta with Veg Keema was definitely one of our favorites — really flavorful and a great combination. We also enjoyed the Veg Thali and Benne Dosa; both were really good. The Veg Keema Biryani was okay compared to the other dishes, but overall, we really enjoyed our meal. Great food, wonderful service, and a very pleasant experience. Special thanks to Siri for taking such good care of us! 😊

  Thali: We ordered their highly rated Thali, which comes with 20+ varieties. While the presentation and variety were impressive, only a handful of the items were genuinely tasty. The portion is suitable for one person, but overall, I didn’t get the authentic South Indian feel I was expecting. In my opinion, the Thali is somewhat overhyped considering the taste and price. Another major disappointment was that the food was served cold—not even warm—including the rice. For the price they charge, I expected the food to be served hot and fresh. Nellore Ghee Karam Dosa: Being from Nellore, I was particularly excited to try this. Unfortunately, this did not taste like authentic Nellore Karam Dosa to me. It felt more like their own variation while using the Nellore name. Nellore Ghee Karam Uthappam: Unfortunately, I had a similar experience with the Uthappam. It seemed to be another variation rather than what I would consider authentic Nellore-style Karam. Ambiance: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The ambiance is beautiful, traditional, and authentic-looking. This was definitely one of the highlights of our visit. Parking: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Plenty of parking is available, which is convenient. Overall: The restaurant has a great traditional ambiance and a lot of variety, but our experience was affected by the long waiting time, cold food, high prices, and the difference between our expectations and the actual taste. For me, the place felt somewhat overhyped, and the prices seemed too high for the overall food experience.

  The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the service. The servers can be a little disorganized. They give you a tablet to look through the menu, but you can’t actually order from it, and you don’t seem to have one designated server. You basically have to wave down whoever you can find when you’re ready to order or need something. My family and I come here once a week for the thali and dosas, and it never disappoints! Everything is always so flavorful and delicious. I also LOVE their Crispy Corn Chatpat and Mushroom 555 — seriously, chef’s kiss! 🤌🏽😋 Definitely one of our favorite spots! The food definitely keeps us coming back every week, but I think having assigned servers or allowing customers to order directly from the tablets would make the experience so much smoother!

  Simply South is the Super Stars of Indian Restaurants in DFW area, the best Restaurant with The best Customer care services and Food is always fabulous & fantastic 🫶✨️💯😍🤗Just visited couple of days ago with my dear daughter and we loved all items we ordered, Ghee Idly, Ghee Roast, Filter Coffee and delicious desserts and we were surprised and really happy to receive Friso locaton First year anniversary- Sweet box with special made sweets with Super Quality Ghee. I was really happy that we had Super start Yash 😊😎serving us...asked his name , gotta reply Yash..thanks Yash .👏👊 I personally like all the positive vibes interior design, decors and arts, with all Indian bells and vibrant colors on the walls..made it more colorful ambiance and interior energy was really great. I like the Mckinney location for huge and Mega size, well.. Frisco is so cute & sweet ...Small , Stronger and Always Serving w/ Smiling faces 😍🤩☺️ My daughter liked all her orders and we enjoyed it throughly...yummy & filled the tummy fully 🥰😎❤️💯👌 Keep up the great job team.. Simply South is Spreading wings to different cities & countries.. Keep Spreading & Serving authentic South Indian food Simply Superbly, God bless🫡🫶🙌👏Small Suggestion - Keep the bell on the wall reachable to kiddos and ask them to ring it when they loved the food & experiences...give then a small return gift of Smiling face stickers, etc...well...they are next generations and we wanna then to carry our food,traditions,culture, heritage...so keep them happy...make them to come back again and again, God bless..love y'all😍🫡🫶👏👊Thanks again for that delicious sweet boxes, wishing many ,many anniversary and grand success 🙌🎉🎊
