This is only my second restaurant review in my 16 years of living in the USA, but I felt I should share my experience.
My son and I visited on August 4, 2026, around 8:45 PM. We visited this restaurant many times last year, and the food and service were always excellent. This was our first visit in 2026, drive from Irving to Frisco Location
Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing.
The Today's Special board displayed items that were not available.
The Bhai Veetu Chicken Biryani, priced at $17, had almost no salt and was served with only onion raita, with no salna or gravy.
The Lamb Chops were very tough.
The Highway Chilli Chicken tasted good, but the portion was quite small.
When I informed the staff that the biryani had no salt, they agreed it wasn't right and suggested mixing it with salna. I replied that I paid for biryani, not plain rice, and biryani should taste good on its own. Since no salna had been served, I requested another dish Since I was hungry, I requested another dish. Although it was only 9:15 PM, the staff said there were only limited food options because they were preparing to close. I suggested Chicken Fried Rice, and it was served in a much smaller bowl than the regular portion.
Around 9:15 PM, the restaurant was almost empty, but it was still difficult to get the staff's attention because one staff member was busy working on a laptop. Although the restaurant closes at 10:00 PM, the staff started arranging chairs around 9:40 PM, making us feel rushed to finish our meal.
I appreciate the efforts of the staff, and I understand some may be students. My feedback is for the management. Please keep the menu updated, ensure the food is checked before serving, and make customers feel welcome until closing time.
We really enjoyed this restaurant in the past, and I hope it returns to the quality and service that made us visit so often.
