  this place is absolutely amazing for little kids. I absolutely love taking all of my friends here and we had a blast over here at Dave & Buster’s. The mall was even a nice pocket of love.

  Hi Reschelle, It was great meeting you on Saturday, and I’m really glad you guys are here in McKinney. I know how excited you are to be back home and have your own D&B’s, and I’m looking forward to lots of fun visits. Most things were super, and I know there are always kinks early on, but I wanted to share a couple of things we noticed. There were several times when the power card scanned but the game didn’t start, and my kids ended up scanning multiple times out of impatience. I tried to find a staff member for help, but it seemed like no one was circulating to catch those issues. We did four of the $120 Power Cards with the $4.99 dinner deal, which is a great value. Since there were seven of us, it would be nice if there were a way to buy additional $4.99 Power & Play add-ons instead of having to purchase smaller cards at a lower value. The biggest miss was the kitchen. I completely understand that kinks happen, but the food came out at very different times, and some dishes were only warm rather than hot and fresh. The blackened chicken alfredo was hot and seemed freshly prepared, but it arrived about 25 minutes after the first chicken strips—even though everything was ordered together. I’m not sure if it was Ocean (our server) or the system, but the QR code for the $4.99 meal deal also took about 20 minutes to scan and credit. I tried to get one of the guys who seemed to be a kitchen manager's attention but they were tunnel visioned and I hated to cause a scene just to flag them down. Ocean was attentive and while others brought out the food he did check on us occasionally after we made our order. None of this is meant as a complaint—just things you may or may not already be aware of. After our friendly conversation, I wanted to pass them along since I know you’re always looking for ways to improve the experience. With seven of us, four $120 cards, four $4.99 meals, and three additional meals, it ended up being well over a $600 evening. In this case, a lot of the tokens felt wasted, and the food timing made the experience a bit less than memorable in a good way. Thanks again for the warm welcome on Saturday.
