  My wife and I went on a tour here and our hostess, Brenda was amazing. She was very knowledgeable on both wines and chocolates. She did an amazingly explaining which wines paired with each chocolate. We will definitely be coming back.

  I went here for my bachelorette this past weekend and it was one of the best parts of my trip!! We chose the sweet wine and chocolate tasting experience and it was amazing! (A bottle of wine and a box of chocolate cake home with me) We LOVED meeting Dan and we loved our tasting experience! We had Brenda and one other girl (she had walked away before I got her name but we appreciated her)

  Premiere tasting was an incredible experience. Dan is an incredibly interesting dude and walked us through an amazing experience with wine chocolate and a great charcuterie spread that included the best bacon I've ever tasted. 11/10, no notes

  My husband and I wanted something different than your typical winery visit and tasting. Just WOW!!!! This place is truly a hidden gem. We attended the bacon and bonbon experience, and we had a fantastic time. From the moment you step in, not only is the smell absolutely amazing, but so is the staff. They were all very sweet and welcoming. The wines that were chosen were absolutely wonderful, and we even ended up purchasing a few bottles to take home. The chocolate was the perfect sweet treat without being too sweet. The bacon!! 🥓 OMG. Our host cooked the bacon for us fresh, and it was amazing! !

  My husband and I participated in the factory floor experience on our anniversary trip to Fredericksburg and it was the favorite thing we did all weekend! This experience is so much more than a tour. It combines a tour with a little bit of education and lots of hands on experiences. The class size is limited so you really get the best experience possible. We started off with a brief intro on making chocolate and different types of chocolate along with some tastings. Then we learned about tempering chocolate, including how to do it at home ourselves, and we got to dip and decorate strawberries. Making caramel pecan turtles came next followed by a lesson on how their chocolate coating machine works. They actually allowed us to run the machine and cover a variety of goodies in chocolate like caramels, graham crackers, and the turtles we made earlier. We learned about their caramel making process then got to participate in making caramel covered popcorn. They plated up a beautiful plate of chocolates that we had made along with decorations they had demonstrated making, which we then were able to pack up and take home with us. This was an all-around wonderful, enjoyable, and unique experience that provided a great change-up from all the wineries and shopping. The staff were all super kind and helpful as well. We highly recommend the factory floor experience at Hill Country Chocolate in Fredericksburg!
