Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
If you like Whataburger; this is not the one. For the past 4 years, this Whataburger has been the slowest Whataburger I’ve been to.
Here’s my issue now; I went in at around 7pm today and I ordered a meal on the app. When I got there, it took a bit for someone to come to the front, with employees of the restaurant already knowing I was standing there since they were looking at me. When I received my meal, I checked it.
The first thing I found is that they forgot my fries. I had to wait a few minutes at the counter to tell someone I was missing the fries. After they told me they will get me some, it took them an extra 5 minutes. Soon, I eat. They also forgot the onions on my burger (That I only got with onions, sauce, and cheese). The fries were also stale, tasted a bit burnt, and did not taste like the fries from all the other Whataburgers I’ve been to.
About 15-30 minutes later after eating, I made another wonderful discovery! I got food poisoning from their food. Seriously what the heck, y’all. In the 6 years that I’ve been here, how can a Whataburger get worse than it already was before?
The only highlight about the trip is this lady who was handing out food and taking customer complaints, when not even the manager (from what I can tell), was not just hanging around the kitchen.
C’mon y’all! I understand that you may be short staffed (which there was plenty of people in the back), or y’all may be tired, but y’all still sell food to people!

If give this store 4*for service if it wasn't just so freaking busy, freaking always. The staff is competent, friendly, and generally good at what they do but when you're backwards slammed all of the time mistakes get made. If they weren't awesome they wouldn't always be so insanely busy.

me and my friend waited to be even helped at the front desk for 30 mins, then after that we sat and waited in a EMPTY ROOM with no one around, while workers lollygagged around in the back, for our food. i am i tried and true loyal whataburger eater as a texan, yet this whataburger is a disgrace to the texan community.
