    I visited the Sonic on Sycamore School Road on June 19 at approximately 1:41 PM and parked in Stall 16. My carhop was Britani. I placed my order through the stall, as intended, and left a tip for carhop service. However, after my order was placed, Brittany informed me that because it was sprinkling outside, she would not be bringing my order to my stall, point blank period. Instead, she asked me to move to a different stall to receive my order. At that point, I was already being inconvenienced, so I told her I would simply go through the drive-thru instead. Wasting gas in this economy. What I don't understand is why customers are expected to tip for carhop service if that service is not going to be provided. The entire Sonic experience is built around ordering from a stall and having your food brought to your vehicle. If employees are unable or unwilling to provide carhop service due to light rain, customers should be informed before ordering and before being prompted to leave a tip. I understand that employees dont want to get wet. But from a customer perspective, it feels unreasonable to pay for a convenience service and then be asked to change stalls or use the drive-thru because the weather is slightly inconvenient. The issue isn't the rain. The issue is being charged and tipped for a service that was ultimately not provided. I would appreciate clarification on Sonic's policy regarding carhop service during light rain and whether customers should be expected to tip when they end up having to change their ordering method to receive their food. This experience left a poor impression and made me question the purpose of using the stalls at all.
